This was posted by a user on Feb 16th "Lastly... I have just received a letter yesterday 15/02/2022 from VCS stating:
Please find attached confirmation that Elms Legal are no longer acting on our behalf, any further correspondence would need to be sent to Vehicle Control Services Limited, central Payment Office. P.O Box 4777, Sheffield, S9 9DJ."
Pick up your phone and call Elms and ask them if this is true. This is not difficult. Why are you all so afraid? Do you want me to do it?

Unless you record it (with the other party's consent) then the contents of a phone call can't be evidenced. Hence the usual mantra of "Everything in writing".Jenni x0

I had a letter dated 21/12/21 from VCS stating that ELMS Legal are no longer acting on their behalf and that correspondence should be sent to Jake Burgess and VCS Litigation Department. I emailed them yesterday requesting information (Pre Action Protocol) and they emailed back 20 minutes later with their evidence, previous PCN's etc and said I could have the rest of the information prior to Court.
I'm wondering as they replied so quickly, whether they've set up a big litigation team who have resurrected PCN's from 3-4 years ago and tehy're all sitting there waiting for action!0 -
I'm wondering as they replied so quickly, whether they've set up a big litigation teamDo you mean the team sitting in the Litigation Department suite of offices, next to the suites of offices housing:
Enforcement Department,
Appeals Department,
ANPR Erection Department,
Signage Department,
Warden Rapid Deployment Squad Department,
Administration Department,
Finance Department,
Janitorial Department
And in the penthouse suite with 360° view overlooking Sheffield - SRS in his big leather chair?
Nah!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Does it not affect the case if the N1SDT is 'signed' by someone who is not actually the claimant's legal representative (or the claimant)?
If Elms no longer represent VCS, doesn't that void the N1SDT?
