We went away for the last week of our month so came in just under our £300 budget but I know we wouldn't have if we hadn't been away! It's OH payday today so a new month for us! Off to find March's challenge and catch up on everyones posts!
£294 / £300 Spent

I succumbed to the news reports and bought a huge pot of marmite (it will last more than a year) and some piquant little peppers in a sweet syrup that DH has been raving about since I bought some at Christmas. Big river company brought us 6 jars so stores are filled up. Apparently they are fantastic in a cheese sandwich (now I know why there are crumbs everywhere in the morning)...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Nothing spent today and I should be OK until March now. I will have to work out how much that is weekly, to see if I'm on track and adjust if I'm not!!!

Still adding my receipts as I go, with the aim of getting some sort of idea where we are at with out budget. Alas it's not been a typical month for us, as I seem to have stocked up on a few things, due to having more cash available for food this month. Oh well. I can see already though that we spend too much on treats, but with electricity costs looking to rise, I am not 100% sure whether me baking things at home would work out much cheaper??? I know it used to, but it might not so much now. Also baking in bulk and storing/freezing doesn't work in our house as we end up eating it all!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Declaring for February at £409.32/£500, having spent £63.20 at the market this morning. So I'm under by just over £90, mostly due to emptying down one of the big freezers. I propose to use that £90 for the next couple of bulk-buys of flour from the mill & oats from Scotland, which takes them out of the everyday grocery budget & means I might actually manage to stay within my targets for the next few months!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4

What with the veg box, some wine, a drink with my Dad, and a lazy bought sandwich on Monday I'm now down to £2.94 for the rest of the month. I should just come in - the cupboards and fridge are very well-stocked and I have bread and milk. I do want my breakfast pastry for work on Monday (£1) but don't anticipate any other spends until March.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

Well I know I’m over so I’ll try and figure out the physical money shuffling, but I had £20 odd left in the account but spent £33 in cash, plus £2.65 on 2 milk but that’s still to be paid for so will spend from March budget instead of Feb (especially as 1 still left!) Same for 2 x TGTG bags which I haven’t touched the contents of yet.I know I should be accounting for the £8 odd extra for the fancy mushrooms and cheese my husband got but he did actually take from the food pot for those and afterwards, my left over budget was as per above so maybe I’ve messed up somewhere. Never mind.Without the £8 I think this would put me at approx £14.30 over although looks worse when stated as above. Just means I’ve already started to spend my March grocery budget now! Eeeek!Get me to March!!!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I’ve found one of my missing receipts, Savers £56.92 which was the other half of a bulk shop as DH did the first shop without the list and forgot lots of it ! It was more than usual as I’ve stocked up more than I would normally because I’m still not well and don’t know when I’ll be able to go again.
