Had a small spend in mossers, as it was the nearest to where I was (dentist) and spent 7.48 on milk, butter, porridge oats, toms, 1/2 cucumber and a lettuce, total added onto annual amount in my Sig. Shouldn't need anymore milk, or anything else in theory before pay day but I'm usually proved wrong

Went to Tesco and Morries yesterday and spent a total of £16.73. This leaves me with £76.94 of my reduced £200 budget. Plenty left for the rest of the month. Any excess will be moved to Bulk Fund at the end of the month.

Rats! Plot lost... I was away for the weekend, missed the market on Friday thanks to Eunice, & have absolutely no idea what the family have spent over the weekend! Seems there were several trips to the supermarket (W8rose, sadly only about 400 yds away) but no-one thought to keep receipts or remember what they'd bought & how much for. Sigh... oh well, it didn't actually come out of my account & therefore doesn't really affect the family grocery budget.
However this week I am finally running the old freezer down to switch it off for the last time, then it becomes my grain store. I've just spent £9.62 on fresh stuff, & may need some fresh bread tomorrow, but everything else will be/has been out of the freezer or the allotment; just leeks & kale left up there now, but this year's planning & planting is now under way, plus The Girls are all in lay again now, so we're getting 4-6 fresh eggs a day. I've made 13.5 jars of raspberry & blueberry jam & that only used about half of what was in there. Not to mention cherries, rhubarb, apple & quince... I gave a box of frozen pumpkin to the Community Kitchen, who actually seemed very pleased to see it, and will sort out some more for them, now I don't have to keep enough in there to feed 5/6 of us through 10 days' isolation. Onwards & upwards!Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)5 -
£3.52 spent since yesterday.
OH needed milk and bread so went out to Mr S to get that. That was all that was needed and all he planned on getting, however OH saw reduced mangoes for 19p each! He picked me up 8 knowing my fruit situation was low, there were loads still there according to him so not taking the mick. They aren't anywhere near ripe but I'm not going to grumble at 19p mangoes.
£119.97/£150.
£30.03 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy4 -
Still no extra spends for us but I know that the milk will not last so will need to replace
Have messaged the fruit and veg guys to see what the chances are of them delivering some if they’re already in the area but feel a bit cheeky so will see what they say!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I seem to of gone a bit wild this month and now I only have £5.33 left for the month 😬 I think I’ve over spent on stocking up my store cupboards, I get a bit stressed when my stocks are low 😔 at least we’ll have enough pasta and tinned tomatoes to see us through to March 😅Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳3

Morning all! Have spent the last week reading through this thread on and off to get the gist of how it all works. This is the first month I've properly been tracking our supermarket spends whilst also trying to stick to a budget. I've broken the budget down to various categories (I may change these as time goes on) to see where the money is going and it's been a bit of an eye opener! I'm going to set next months budget based pretty much on this months figures, just shaving off a few £ here and there to ease myself in. Using Olio has been a godsend though, that must save me at least £60 a month, not sure how I'd manage without it! Will continue to read through this thread but join the March one properly5

A quick dash to the baker's & the supermarket on the way home from the allotment means I've just added £41.61 to my total. That bought us bread (real & the supermarket version) yogurt, cream, milk, fruit juice, plain noodles & frozen veg. Too busy to go tomorrow, and it's a manic weekend coming up!Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4
