Already blown the budget by 30.59p so no more shopping for me this month. Quite unhappy with my efforts or lack of effort.
Looking at what I have, particularly fruit and veg I maybe Ok until the end of the month.
The sad thing is the March budget will have to start 50.59p down.
Pelirocco is right - don't start from a negative or you are going to struggle!

Have a look at how and why you went over - it might have been an emergency or it might be that your budget is too low. Don't set yourself up to fail...
Or if you really feel you need to factor this overspend into your monthly budget, spread it over a number of months - over 5 months,  it's only £10 a month.

Checking in with an update of spends so far this month.
I've tried to be resourceful using food from the freezer and cupboards.  I've been better with using up food - made a yummy bread pudding on Tuesday using up bread from my dad's so I took a chunk to him which he was pleased with.  Soup using up veggies for a couple of lunches with home made bread.
I agree that being on here and reading about everyone's ideas is helping keep me more accountable.
however, I've still spent a lot this month.

    £256.21 spent, balance £63.79.
No wine needed so I think I can do it!

Another possibility is that @zafiro1984 is now well stocked up and can manage on a lower budget for March?
She said sadly the March budget would be £50 odd down
It sounded like it would ve a problem

Wanted to pop to Lidl to get some candles while they were on Weekend Special (these weren't from grocery budget) so while there decided to top up my UHT milk and some more washing liquid.

As I have spent extra from the Bulk Fund I've transferred £50 from the Grocery Budget to the Bulk Fund.  This means that I've reduced my Grocery Budget to £200 and now have £90.25 left of that which is OK with 2 more weeks shopping to go.

I had to pop into town today, to purchase new trainers for DS and new walking shoes for me and him, so got a few bits from Lidl which we needed - fruit juice, cheese (they do a good version of the local cheese), small oranges for DH, and a couple of other essentials. £10 or so spent and that will be added to my running total for Feb. I won't need to do a shop in town later in the week now, so that will save me diesel and time.
