Thank you elsiepac for doing this thread. As I've said before it really does help keep us accountable, even if we blow the budget.
Our February budget is going to be £150.
The month goes 1st to the 28th.This is for two adults, my OH and I, and a chinchilla. Includes all food and drink (except alcohol), cleaning products, toiletries etc and all chinchilla items (food, hay, sand, treats etc.). Really hoping to come in budget or even better lower.
OH and I have agreed to do a mostly use up month for February so that is why we have drastically reduced the budget.
Already trying to work out a meal plan for the month for myself using up a lot of freezer items that in all honesty have been in the freezer long enough now and need to be eaten.
OH has enough meat and cheeses in the freezer for what looks like the whole of February (and the rest of the current month) but the February budget should allow for some if needed and/or he spots reductions too good to pass up.
£0/150.
£150 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy5 -
Thank you elsiepac. Please put me down for £70 again for 1st-28th.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget6

Can I please go down for
£400
That will be for 1st-28th, 2 adults and 2 children all food, toiletries and cleaning. 😊
Thankyou5 -
I'll be sticking to the usual £200 for 2 adults, a dog and a cat, including toiletries and cleaning supplies. Our month will run from 25th January to 25th February. We are (hopefully) going to be on holiday for a week, so may get away with spending more like £175 but I'll leave it as £200 for now.5

Hi @elsiepac
I'm returning to OS ways with determination, including the GC.
Please can you put me down for £360 for February as a rough starting point? Everything's out of control and this is one area I can make decent savings!
Many thanks, off to read from the start cos I've forgotten so much!
A xo
