Hello please can I join for February? I have been reading this forum for a while but think I need to join in to keep me accountable! There are 2 adults, one child and our dog and my budget is £300. I am hoping to get this down to £200 in the summer when we start getting produce from our Allotment! This will cover food, household, dog food and takeaways for the month. My month will run from 27th - 26th as this is my partners payday.
Budget £300 please

Day 3 of no spends in a row today although the plan was to cook a lot tonight on account of the kitchen being ripped out tomorrow ready for new install starting Monday for the next few weeks so will probably pop to the shops later. I’m so determined not to bust the budget or eat a loaf of rubbish food whilst the kitchen is in progress so need to be smart! Any good ideas welcomeFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Hi joining this, £100 spend /month starting from Feb.
Spent close to £180 this month but definitely a lot I could of shaved off there. Doing meal planning and a big monthly shop being delivered 1st Feb. With additional fresh produce I’ll buy weekly. As long as I do better than than £180 this month I’ll be happy, won’t be too hard on myself.5 -

Sorry to hear about your daughter's dietary uncertainties (on Jan thread) @esjw - we took our son to a homeopath after the GP prescribed steroid and hydrocortisone creams for him as a five year old. In his case it was artificial additives such as sweeteners and colours that were the main culprits. As well as making him hurt they made him angry and violent as a by-product. I have been an avid label reader for close to 25 years now, and he hasn't lived at home since he was 20 (9 years ago) but I just avoid them wherever I can. I make my own cordials and jams and jelly, and avoid low sugar anything unless it is actually lower sweetness rather than substitutes. I do buy toothpaste (contains saccharine and some contain aspartame) but that gets spat rather than swallowed.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
