shykins said:@I_Love_comps you dont have to pay for Olio, it is an option but you just decline that and use the free version
. you dont really get much extra even if you do pay so its not worth it unless you want to support themNo man is worth crawling on this earth.

First time I've used the app.
I'm off on a long day trip tomorrow so got a bag from the Greggs which is literally around the corner to me hoping I may get a filled sandwich or two and very pleased for what my £2.59 got me
a vegan sausage roll
a chargrilled chicken oval brown seeded roll
a chicken and bacon club baguette
an iced sprinkle doughnut
a box of 2 glazed ring doughnuts
I've eaten the vegan sausage roll, first time I've had one and I loved it. Think I prefer it to the meat version! I've also had the sprinkle doughnut which was perfectly fresh to eat.
I will take the roll and baguette with me tomorrow so worked out well.
I am going to try my local toby carvery next, the veg version is only £2.29.

I've been getting them for the past 3 weekends from a local bakery chain. They have a dozen branches and each branch puts 3-5 bags on each day around the same time so it's been easy to get one if you know what time to look.2

4 quid for ham/cheese baguette and dry croissant. i also got chicken Caesar wrap i wont eat. none of this was wastage (as was in date still)as it was just taken off random shelves as i watched. i essentially got a free croissant for giving up my choice.this app just encourages dodgy business's to post fake ads in a bid to create custom for themselves.1

@Rosa_Damascena bit confused by your comment "The best way of offering support would be to distribute the food". thats exactly what we do on Olio. we collect from tesco etc then offer it out to people on the App for free who collect it from us

YS shopping is hitty missy round here plus you have to go round the all the supermarkets with no guarantee you're going to get anything half decent. With this Magic Bag you know you're going to get a decent amount of stuff straight off the bat.
I've got one ordered today again from this bakery chain although from a different branch I haven't tried yet.1 -

There is a convenience store that regularly appears on the app near me nearly every day trying to flog out of date cases of beer and alcopops. Not sure on their success but half the time you'd be better off just going to ASDA and getting a case of something that's on offer and in date for around the same price.
