Email address and copy to claimant?

Sorry this will have been covered but I'm in a mad rush - just moved house, had no wifi to connect printer and can't find cables - I've followed the guidelines, saved my defence as PDF and am ready to send to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk - seem to remember somewhere that it needs to be in lower case and that a copy goes to DCBLegal too? I need to get this sent off now as I've only just got everything printed and copied
Claim was issued on 18/12, I acknowledged on the 23/12 and just want to get it sent off - I have had a nightmare with PPL conveyancers messing everything up - long before their cyber attack - and then this came just before xmas >-(
Thanks

Please check the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form again.
18th December 2021 was a Saturday. Not seen a Claim issued on a Saturday before.2 -
Just use normal grammar rules; I cannot recall seeing a "lower case" need but can recall (cannot find it now) that it needs to be Times New Roman 12 pt and double spaced. If you refer to CPR 15.4: -(1) The general rule is that the period for filing a defence is –
(a) 14 days after service of the particulars of claim; or
(b) if the defendant files an acknowledgment of service under Part 10, 28 days after service of the particulars of claim. You will see that you have a bit more time than you think. I am sure that @KeithP will be along to give you an accurate deadline for filing your defence. During a recent spate when the CCBC were failing to send defences to claimant, we advised serving a copy on them as well but normally the CCBC will do that.

With a Claim Issue Date of 13th December, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 17th January 2022 to file your Defence.
Just a couple of days to go.To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
Thanks, I've done that I just need to know those two things about the email address in upper or lower case and does the claimant get a copy?
I'm sure I've seen something about those but can't find them.0 -
Upper/Lower case shouldn't matter - just make sure you get an auto-response from CCBC. If you don't, send it again using the other case. If you haven't done it yet, do it on Monday 17th after 9am but before 4pm. (Defences are more likely to go astray, and not get the auto-response, if they're filed outside normal CCBC working hours).
Cc the Claimant (or their legal co.) into the same email you send to CCBC. That way they know you've defended it.Jenni x2 -

I thought I had to have it in today that was the panic.
I've had an absolute nightmare with the clowns at PPL Conveyancers - taken a week short of a year from selling my house to moving in - and this was the third time we got to the point of exchange! They even emailed me at 11:40am on the day of completion asking me for bank statements otherwise my purchase couldn't go through - even though my sale had!
Last thing I needed was this the week before xmas. I'm also suffering with long covid and struggling to think straight, which is particularly frustrating as I was until COVID got me a trainer with the ambulance service so had to have my wits about me.
I've completed the defence by following the guidelines in the link and popped a couple of photos in showing the poorly painted markers. I put my side of things down and left the rest in place, printed it off, signed it and scanned as PDF ready to email.
Anything else I can do? I'm trying to read through the numerous posts but it's all just a mush tbh.
Thanks for the help so far
