Hi -
Just to let you know you're not forgotten.....................
I was in the City yesterday (not THE City, just my nearest) petitioning for BR (all boring details on another thread) so didn't get chance to visit here until late and then couldn't find your thread (!)....until now that is
So - was happy to see your list - and don't you dare beat yourself up if you don't get everything done..... whoooo, you should see my rolling To Do list, it's scary - and there is Only Me in my life (& cat & horse). I actually categorise my list using my favourite/lucky(yeah, had loads of that) number - which is 5 - so there are in general 5 categories of things I have to do and each category has 5 things to actually do - it's kind of weird and I never actually do everything because I'm always on here.
Hope you are feeling OK today.
(if not, baby steps might work............)

feeling good today,
for the 1st time in 10 years, we have £6.00 in the bank and it's pay day tommorow!!!!!:j
usually by the 2nd week of the month we are having to use the credit cards.
so this month no bank charges for bounced dds, or going over the overdraft and money left.:D
this probably doesn't sound much bit to us thats a huge achivement!.
worked really hard to bring in extra this month, free bingo, loads of surveys (which at last paid out!) loads of ebaying and vouchers (again from surveys)
so while i haven't paid off any debt other than the normal payments, they havn't increased and we have made it to the day before pay day.
 so off to work out aprils moneytotal -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -
Hi
Just read diary from start to finish and Well done on having money left at the end of the month - that's the point when you realise that you can win!!!
regarding smoking; I'll not tell you how many times I tried to quit but suffice it to say I tried patches, gum, inhalater, lozenge, caplet things, zyban all with will power (not necessarily in that order and with varying degrees of limited success). Last July I started Champix and all I can say is it worked for me. If you try and don't manage to stop, the experience will help with future attempts.
Good luck with it and keep posting.

Well i suppose this is what i get for patting myself on the back for the end of last month.
i've gone from feeling really upbeat, to being really down.
for the last 4 months i have been making the money to pay the catologues £300 as my hubbys wage has been lower than usual.
as a stay at home mum i have had to find ways to make this money and have done by the skin of my teeth via ebay, surveys, slice the pie and everything else i can think of.
anyway, we knew this month was going to be really tough so we arranged a payment holiday from our egg loans for 1 month which would have made us £395 better of this month but beacuse hubbys wage was going to be low again this was still going to leave us with only £70. p/w for food and petrol which meant £45 for hubbys petrol and £25 for shopping to feed 5 of us for a week! so i said i would double my efforts on everything i do to make an extra £30 per week. (i should say hubby drives for a living so petrol can not be reduced).
and then this morning i checked our account to find the loan payment were taken out and we now have no money left in the account at all and £200 worth of dds to come out, i was jumping the nerve of egg, i checked the email they had sent so i could ring them, only to find right at the bottom of the email was a small sentence saying "if all the above is acceptable please reply"!!!!!!!!!
SUPID, STUPID me i only read the top of the email which said "i am pleased to confirm your payment holiday for april.
so i broke the news to my understanding hubby and now its panic stations, not only do i have the catologue payments to find but also an extra £500 to get us through the month.
oh and this is my 1st day out of bed since friday as i have a nasty dose of the flu!

right so far i have.........
transfered £200 savings into main account to help cover the dds
got somethings ready to ebay (about 10 items altogether) not much but i've already ebayed lots this year and now iam selling pretty much all my clothes , shoes and any handbags , leaving myself a few things to wear. (i feel like i'm selling my soul)
i have got 2 sackfulls of baby clothes and they are nearly all next so i am hoping to get a decent amount from them.
i am aiming to make £4.00 per day (mon -fri)on slice the pie so i can transfer £20 from paypal evey friday.
we are going to try and do a boot sale on sunday as we have lots for that that would not work on ebay
bit worried as we have never done one before.
i really dont know if we can do it, it's a lot to make out of nothing.
i can get pretty lonely on here, so if any one can offer any advice it would be much appriciated

Hi Cheap as Chips
haven't posted on your thread before, but you sound so worried I had to post
Your life seems to be getting you down, but remember it is only money - it's not worth making yourself ill for.
You have travelled a way along the debt free road, but it is a long and often lonely way.
I too have suffered with depression for the last 12 years on and off and it clouds the way you look at everything.
Have you looked at the Make £10 a day thread? they have some really good ways of making money from nothing. The bingo loophole has closed but there is a list of £1 sign up bonus sites that you can still play and it is possibel to win on them - not huge ammounts but every like counts.
Do you do the cashback sites pigsback and quidco? you can make some good money one these - again won't help this month but will help
Can't think of ways for an immediate fix sorry
Have you asked your doctor if you can see someone from the community mental health team? don't know if this would help but they may be able to arrange counselling
Take are, thinking of you
stressed xxxHoping to stick to the challenge this year!!
