Hi Cheaps.
well done on tackling your debts and protecting your family's future.
Good luck in the olympic challenge - don't forget that prizes count so whatever you get for your crystal glasses can count towards your challenge total. Well done on that prize
Does your hubby have the ruined suit still cos if he filled up locally i would go in and see the manager of the petrol station and try to claim something back from them.I used to work in a petrol station and we had people come in and get money back if their stuff was ruined as it may have been a fault on the nozzle.£2 savers club 2025 #40 -

4 days till pay day!!!!!!
really mad and stresses today, i sent a chq off in early december and the company only chased it last monday!!! when there was no money in the account so i got charged £25 for bouncing the chq, the company rang and they told me they are charging £25 also, so thats an extra £50!!!!
and then today they tried to cash it again!!! and i have been charged an extra £25 by the bank and £25 by them thats £100 because they waiting 5 weeks to cash it!!
it feels like all the hardwork gets me nowhere, i know i should have made sure there was enough in the account and there was 5 weeks earlier.
i am doing well on ebay at the momment (apart from the fees) so that willhave to go towards swallowing that extra £100.total -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -
oh honey i'm si sirry i missed your rant up there ^^^^^ I do hope you are ok. thats a complete bug ger about the cheque!!! can they tell you why it has taken so long for them to cash it, seems a little out to me.
also for them to represent it for payment so quickly must be wrong surely. i'm pretty sure it says refer to drawer, i'd check with the banking conditions hon.
Sounds like ebay is going pretty good right now, good for you!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hi pania,
the reason it took them so long was due to them having a 3 week holiday for xmas so they left it on the desk!.

hope you are well, will pop in on you latertotal -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -

we applied for a 0% CC to balance transfer our 3 remaining CCS.
Got all details in post today and..........it's been agreed, yeah!!
But only for £500!!!!! (no help at all) and they have already transfered £467 from our mbna card, so we now have 4 cards instead of 3
i was so looking forward to cutting up the 3 we have,total -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -
this month is going to be a real challenge for us
after all the carry on with the bounced chq, we have gone over our overdraft because of the charges!! so that 1 chq has cost us an extra £125!!!
and hubby got paid today and because of his job part of his wage is commision and this months was the lowest ever!
and on top of that because we changed bank accounts are old bank are closing our overdraft (fair enough) and we have to start paying that back so our child benefit is going to pay that every month until it gets paid off, (c/b was still being paid into that account.
so because of all that this month is going to be a struggle
we have had to put £400 in the bank via a credit card just to meet our direct debits (dosn't cover my 3 catalogues!!) going to have to ebay anything and everything to try and pay them some how
we have £300 left for the whole month and as hubby has to spend £60 per week on petrol for work it dosn't leave much.
i was so looking forward to paying off somethings and updating my sig, now we are going to struggle just to cover are direct debits.total -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640
