YL (Hugs).Kazwookie I agree with every word you've said. Belovéd and I are now at the stage where the fury has completed exhausted us so we've had a tanker of popcorn delivered and are sitting back and enjoying all of the morons who are wheeled out to defend indefensible behaviour. We'd go mad if we didn't laugh at it.My parents used to arrive with a car full of crap every time they visited for years. I dutifully put it all in the attic and tried to make myself want it, but if it's come down already it's because it's been taken to the dump or the CS. I think people feel better about themselves if they are able to convince themselves that they're giving good stuff to a good home, rather than binning rubbish. Our local hospice van is at the tip every time I go there, unloading crap into the skips because it's unsaleable. It costs them a fortune in tip fees. I was in the attic just now getting some boxes down I use repeatedly and realised another tip run is in order if the scrapstore doesn't want all the packaging I've got. I'm not going to be posting fragile stuff again after a bad experience a few years ago so there's no point in keeping it all. That should clear a fair amount of space. Our kitchen freezer, the big one, is on the blink. I need to decant veggies etc in the chest freezer to make space for the stuff I want to move out while we wait for an engineer to see if it's fixable. There will be a lot of work involved, none of which I'm going to enjoy.Yesterday was busy so I didn't sort any spaces or do my five minutes dusting. I will count both freezers as the spaces sorted today, and do 10 minutes of dusting.I hope everyone else's day goes well.Better is good enough.10

Deliver birthday card to friend G.
I've measured my feet. Finally. At long last. Left is size 8. Right is size 7.5. So that explains why most size 7 shoes now cripple my left foot. I don't know if feet shrink again when you lose weight...hoping to solve that mystery this year 😉
Would anyone like a foot measuring guide for children? Not sure how accurate it is but if anyone can use it please let me know.
Coffee now and another parcel has arrived. This should contain: jacket, 2 tops for work and knickers. No more holey knickers - I can now get knocked down by a bus without horrifying my mother with the state of my underwear. God bless her cotton socks.
That list of frogs will be written - holding procrastination by the throat now. It. Will. Happen.
Love to all

Chest freezer emptied, stuff set aside to keep and stuff set aside to decant into boxes to go to the tip. Kitchen freezer emptied, Belovéd helped and cleared the top. Then he played with it for a bit and *bingo* it started working again! I've booked an engineer for Monday afternoon on the basis that it might not get down to the right temperature and keep food frozen but we've got all weekend to find that out and cancel if the thing works. We had a very strange power cut with intermittent power surges and blackouts for about 10 minutes a few nights ago and I have the feeling that overloaded its circuits so it may be that we've done enough to bring it back to life. Stuff crammed into the chest freezer downstairs.Food emptied out of containers so all we took to the tip was gash food, wrappings binned here, recycling recycled. Loaf made in the breadmaker, all the food boxes washed and the writing on them removed with meths and washed up. I had intended to buy more takeaway boxes but we really, really don't need any more now! I've recycled a few that were cracked or had holes in and a few lids but the rest have held up remarkably well. Ideally I'd like to get rid of the chest freezer so this has been a useful clear out, really, just not one that I'd planned to do or wanted to do today. No dusting has been done so I'll do 10 minutes of it over the weekend, when the lodger leaves because the panto's finishing. I'd love it if he came back for this year's panto, he's been a joy to have in the house - a lovely young man. The Christmas crap finally made it back into the loft.

Evening all. Glad to hear that the poorlies are getting better and Kaz's triplets are becoming more independent.
I have crossed a few more small items off my list today:
- checked finances
- did some thinking and planning
- prepared some stuff for church on Sunday
- sent a couple of emails
- sorted one clothes drawer and my wardrobe hanging space; decluttered some bits for the CS
- took the dead SC to the tip - fer-ling!
- did food shopping for the week and spent less than usual
- walked Rosie, but it went very cold as the sun went down
- cooked/reheated meals for the two of us
- FUPA clean washing
- chatted with a friend on the phone for an hour
Not much to show for the day, but better is OK. Tomorrow is another day...7
