Lovely news, Auntie Valli x
I have joined the frog eaters and emailed belated Christmas greetings to a friend in Canada. It took me ages to find a way of describing the happier things that happened in 2021, rather than concentrating on all the miserable stuff. Now I've written one letter, the others should be easier. Copy and paste is my secret (though I will have to translate for two sets of German friends).
I have also remembered to wash my winter coat, which was looking decidedly grubby, and I have found a few more bits to add to the Donate box.
Can I go on the rota to drive the bus, please? I have managed to lose a kilo this week.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx9 -
Definitely need a mini bus. Buses here only twice a day on Monday and Friday.
Dailies are done, changed sofa covers and cushions and washed them. Gave up on second complicated baby cardigan pattern. Going to start again soon with a simple pattern. I was getting ahead of myself.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Buses here only go left or right ie up or down the coast road, I think twice a day they head in land!Hoovering doneCats sortedeby parcel postedHad to do cat rescue yesterday
, cat 1 managed goodness knows how, to get himself stuck, between our 8ft wooden fence with gravel boards and the green link fence that abuts it, in the neighbours garden, the gap between both is about 6 inches, no way in or out of this area, but cat 1 found the way in, we think he fell off NN garage roof in to this void.
So long ladder out we looked over fence his was ok, then I got the spade out and dig under the gravel board enough for him to squish through to this side! I've filled the hole back up.Anyway cat 2 has brought them a feather to play with.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Glad you chose the minibus option Round because we have one bus a week into town and back. Actually can we hold off on the scales coming here until the rest of the Quality Street have gone?
I need to do DHs tax return. I have got the file out and opened it. Now I am busy finding other things to do.
Downstairs hoovered, beds made, clean washing put away. I am cold even though the heating has been on for 3 hours. DH keeps telling me the house isnt cold. I might have to go and find more clothes to put on.10 -
YL.. Watch for headaches!!.. being cold is how the plague started in my house!
Girls fed, cats fed..Boog checked on.DS2 checked on
DS1 checked on us.
DD1 still in dying swan mode.. I think she has a different variant to the rest of us. None of us are even ill but she is, no one else in her house had it yet though which is odd.
Half of Pixies class is off, about 1/3rd of Dots.. the government said if their LFT was clear they should go to school.. so that's what we did.
I need to vacuum.. but Henry is upstairs and he is heavy.
I need to box the last christmas bits.. it can wait.. no rush..
EHC people ringing on Monday to go through the health part of the assessment.
I need to chase the Blue Badge people on Monday.. they are so slow!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -

Afternoon all
a productive day here, this morning DH finished the house (cleaning and dusting) while I did the food shop, 2 x wm run and draped on the airer, after a quick bite of lunch I’ve got on with some batch cooking…
8 portions of soup made and cooling now
2 potato gratins in the oven, 1 for the week and 1 for the freezer,
Big portion of tomato based sauce in the instant pot, this can be made into various dishes
I’m going to read for a bit now, then later on I think some freezer Tetris will need to be played!
hope you are all ok x11 -

Looking at hiring a minibus to transport the scales round Flyladyland. 🤣. They're digital too so you don't have to bend and peer at the dial with its incredibly close together pounds lines. Not only have I lost 4 lbs by swapping scales - next week I will know if I've lost .1 of a pound.....this appeals to the OCD side of my brain. BUT could be a problem knowing I've gone up .1 of a pound rather than STS. I'll just have to make sure it doesn't happen won't I? 😉
Rehoming one of my Christmas presents will also tick a frog. Book shaped biscuit tin to be used to rehome felt tips. I might even do it today. Coffee first though.
Anyone joining me?
Rxx
-Clear out wardrobe-Ziffit books-High shelves (mine)
-High shelves (8yo)
-Blue drawers-Chest of drawers to tip (the only time I wish there was a man in the house 😂)
-Mend school bag for third time. Might need to bite bullet and buy new one.11 -
Today I have finally written emails and old-fashioned letters to the five people to whom I should have sent Christmas greetings a month ago.
Hooray!
