Good morning all xx
Freezing fog this morning but I'm toasty in here. My new scales weigh me 4lbs less than the old ones. Woot woot.
I'm up, made my bed, closed the bedroom window, got weighed, replaced my toothless comb with a fully dentured comb, binned the old comb, and supped my first brew.
To Do Today List
Brew 2 and breakfast
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
WUDUPA
WM x 1
Find homes for last 4 Christmas presents
Continue decluttering box from under the table
WRITE A LIST OF FROGS. Which is turning into a blasted frog.
Love to all.

Good morning all,
I’ve been awol for a few days, mainly due to busyness at work, minimal flying (actually I am kidding - no flying), and general bleurghness. My car decided to have a prima donna moment, which was hair raising as I coasted down a hill with no gears, hoping I would have enough momentum to make it to a layby. Booked into the garage for Tuesday. Busy at work, and now the company is being sold, which I can see most likely means that I won’t have a job for too much longer. We will see.
DD is going back to uni tomorrow, so today will be sorting out all the things that she hasn’t yet done. Whoever knew that procrastination was hereditary.
Today’s list, as it stands atm:
Brew 2 and breakfast
Get dressed
WUDUPA
WM x1
Sort clean washing
Make another pair of gloves for DD. She bought the wool yesterday. Last minute, or what.
Hmmm. Looks very similar to Round’s list!
Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed xx10 -
Morning! Freezing here on the south coast... 11 in my bedroom overnight 🥶
8yo with her dad this morning so making a plan in bed with a cuppa. Despite having a very busy week at school with parents evening and the like I have managed to do some little bits thanks to the lists inspiring me! Jobs like sewing a button onto my coat, I've been meaning to do this since September! It took me about 5 mins!! Why have I been putting it off all this time?!
This weekend:
-WM and DWx2-Recycling/rubbish-Usual trip to charity clothes bin
-Bed-Chat to little old lady (I'm a befriender)
-Wash the outside living room windows - this is my all time least favourite job! We live in one of those tall town houses and I have a long stick thingy but obviously have to do it on the street and I feel SUCH a berk!
-5 mins in the garden sweeping
-Clear the hallway
I also have a ton of marking to do which has to fit in somewhere! Anyway, by writing it down I hope to make it happen!
What's a frog by the way?11 -
elbree - your coat button was a frog. A task that you keep putting off. You have now eaten that particular frog.
Frogs have a habit of breeding at this house...hence my name 😉 I notice them when they croak then ignore them again. I'm thinking that a list of frogs will act as a) a reminder (I only remember that my bedroom light bulb needs replacing when I go to bed at night - and I'm not inclined to go out and fetch my stepladder from the shed at that point) and b) an incentive. I find green ticks motivate me to aim for more green ticks.
I'm odd but harmless 😉

Looking at hiring a minibus to transport the scales round Flyladyland. 🤣. They're digital too so you don't have to bend and peer at the dial with its incredibly close together pounds lines. Not only have I lost 4 lbs by swapping scales - next week I will know if I've lost .1 of a pound.....this appeals to the OCD side of my brain. BUT could be a problem knowing I've gone up .1 of a pound rather than STS. I'll just have to make sure it doesn't happen won't I? 😉
Rehoming one of my Christmas presents will also tick a frog. Book shaped biscuit tin to be used to rehome felt tips. I might even do it today. Coffee first though.
Anyone joining me?
