When when I was in hospital having chemo we were given ice lolly’s to have during it. It was to prevent too many mouth sores. I still got ulcers the hardest part was trying to make the lolly last most of the morning. Sending my best wishes to you all xx

Thank you. He managed to attend DS's birthday party today so that was great.

Sorry to hear DH is struggling. Chemo is horrid. If he’s struggling with eating, wafer-thin slices of pineapple may help with the sore mouth (unless it’s on his list of things to avoid). Freezing them is even better. Some people like them in chunks, but with a sore mouth the need to be small enough not to be uncomfortable. There’s lots of stuff to google (ignore the ‘I beat cancer eating pineapple, blueberry and kale smoothies stuff…)! 

Sore mouth thankfully not an issue. Just bone weariness.

Thank you. I was pleased we had peerless weather for DS's party, all six boys behaved well and the picnics I made went down well.

Thanks Ed. I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. One of the chaps at laser tag made us laugh. They've got new kit that gives you an electric shock when you've been hit. They play a game where there's a team of zombies and a team of humans and when they started they had the shock frequency turned up too high so the zombies were twitching and lurching like mad and looked terrifyingly like actual zombies.

DH did a good deed today, he was a solicitor many moons ago and one of our friends rang us beside herself (while I'd ducked out of the party to drop DD2 to youth theatre) because she thought her house purchase was going wrong. DH was able to reassure her and stop her hyperventilating. Meanwhile DD2 wondered why we'd ended up in Lidl's car park rather than the theatre (because Mummy got distracted!).

Having been out 9-2 at the party I intend to do notalot more than feed the family dinner and drink a little cotes de provence.

Not heard from our Ukrainian friend. Tuesday she thinks she'll have the paperwork for her littlie.

It's a really good idea. How are you now @Mrs_Money_Penny?

I am doing ok thank you. It was 5 years ago I had breast cancer. I am on medication for 10 years. Still have side effects from the treatment mainly chronic uti’s but otherwise fine thank you xx

I have been very lazy today.
I made two trifles from slightly stale cake and opted out of teachers' pensions for my last month.

Other than that, nothing! 

DD2 emerged at 1pm and screamed at me for not waking her. I explained about phone alarms. She screamed some more.
