I am now worried about a young woman and her little girl who I've never met. (Ukrainian folk). Go figure.

The Chilean refugees I used to live with nearly all went back to Chile when it was safe (the one who didn't go back had married a British girl and had children). What happened back in Chile was that the children who were very young when they left, or were born in this country after their parents refugeed out - they were all bilingual in one language or another - English, Swiss French, Portuguese, all sorts. In spite of going to Chilean school on Saturday mornings.
Of course, Chile wasn't physically devastated the way Ukraine has been, and it was their own government (after a coup) that was imprisoning and killing them, but once your Ukrainian refugees are hopefully with you, keeping their culture alive will become more and more important, I think.
All the best with it.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
I sent her a little quiz for her daughter today. The little one must be bored.
So Puppylove had a funny turn in the night and her back legs weren't working well this morning. So she's been to the vet and has anti inflammatories and a blood test appointment. Of course she was pretty much recovered by the time she got to the surgery, just like when you take children!
Fed DH twice now he's eating and returned some things and collected some things. Now waiting for kids to get out of school so I can take them to get their new glasses. Has anyone read about Myopia control? Very interesting.
Going to make lentil moussaka for dinner. It has been the most stunning day, started at 5 degrees and now 22. I'd have missed it if I'd been at school.8 -
Of course we all worry about Ukrainian folk, would be weird if you didn't. At least you've got the space and heart to try and do something to help5

Morning! Puppylove has to see the vet for blood tests this morning. She was not allowed breakfast and is very grumpy.
I have six more working days of freedom, I need to make a plan for how to use them wisely.
Have a great day!6 -
Lovely weather. Farrier has been.
Most chilled horses everrr. Ponyplops had a trim and Bigorse had shiny shoes.
DH still struggling, this chemo is brutal.5 -
Sorry it’s so hard for your dh at the moment, sending him and you best wishes ❤️MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

Sorry to hear DH is struggling. Chemo is horrid. If he’s struggling with eating, wafer-thin slices of pineapple may help with the sore mouth (unless it’s on his list of things to avoid). Freezing them is even better. Some people like them in chunks, but with a sore mouth the need to be small enough not to be uncomfortable. There’s lots of stuff to google (ignore the ‘I beat cancer eating pineapple, blueberry and kale smoothies stuff…)!6
