When we had a mortgage with the Coop, they sent a 7x10 random numbered grid square  and you had to put in  whatever they asked for ( C4, A7, F9) to log in. That was only 12 years ago. Technology? Nah! Paper Grid squares!!!! The best thing about o/ps is that each one has more impact than the last one.
Oh my word! I’ve never heard the like! 😂😂👏

Yes they do, don’t they 😊❤️

Ooh, fingers crossed for the sale! You've got a good standing OP there (i reckon you can round it up to £50 for the new year!) 😃

Laughing at the clunky mortgage 😂😂 when we took ours out you had to ring up for a balance 😂😂 fortunately the building society have now joined the 20th century (not quite 21st, they don't have an app yet 😂)

Coventry BS still use the paper grid system for telephone baking. I found this out the hard way when I was trying to close my account and haven't a clue what I did with the bit of pape. Probably shredded it!

Hope he gets a good sale for the Bedford and a home he is happy for her to go to.

I was going to mention that the last time I phoned Coventry ( a couple of years ago) they expected me to have the paper grid to hand. Now I try and do everything on the app.

I apologise wholeheartedly to The Coop for mixing it up with The Cov ,  but it is nice to know so many of us share another common grid based financial experience . 🤣
