The power of cake should never be underestimated. Maybe another slice today?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -

Thanks @Humdinger1, @ladybird1106, @Watty1, @beanielou, well it wouldn’t do to WASTE the cake, now would it?! 😉😂I am still horrendously gloopy but a bit more functional. Got onto to some PC stuff that has been coming in like hail over the last few days 🙄 and managed to knock that over quite efficiently. No signs of fever. Still no real signs of appetite either though … 🤷♀️ Guts still somewhat dodgy …
Lots of thinking going on and deep back and forth VMs this morning with my friend I was in Buddhist sangha with. I was awake from 2am this morning and trying every technique in the book to go back to sleep, and every time I was about to drop off, something not positive / sad / unpleasant etc. from my past would surface. All kinds of random things from all periods of my life. I’m wondering if this is a kind of echo chamber thing, where the inevitable fear of being properly ill (I can’t work, don’t want to eat, will I ever feel well again, type state) brings up echoes of times past, almost like a mini trauma response. It was very interesting to observe. Also, allowed me to acknowledge that my Buddhist path crashed and burned a lot sooner than I thought it did … 😉
Right, must pretend I like food and try to eat something …! 😉

For me it's usually cornflakes (which i never normally eat). I'd settle for a Victoria sponge too though! 🤭
Sorry to hear you've been awake in the night mulling things over. I do wish our brains would be a little more organised and efficient with the cleaning sometimes.2 -
Thanks @f0xh0les, @Brie, I’ve flipped 180 degrees today - yesterday all food had to be cold, today all I want is warm food 🤷♀️😉, @Cheery_Daff, to a degree it’s my own fault that I was awake last night - I let myself fall asleep for far too long yesterday so that’s partly why I was awake at 2am 😉 I’ve been awake for longer today so I hope I will sleep tonight. Am hoping to back to work tomorrow … 🤞
Meanwhile the PC drama continues with the Clerk resigning today! 😳🙄 Chair is having something of a meltdown! I did ask her if it was still okay for me to step down … She said yes, if it’s the right thing for me (it is!) but how much longer was I going to be around … I can see this is going to be a slog right to the bitter end …
Been a beautiful day here albeit flipping cold. This picture doesn’t really do it justice but this has been the view from where I sit 😊🌞
