Skipton BS also had a grid until very recently, and it was a pain in the backside because this is back when they were the only provider of a cash LISA so there was no choice but to deal with it!f0xh0les said:I apologise wholeheartedly to The Coop for mixing it up with The Cov , but it is nice to know so many of us share another common grid based financial experience . 🤣

Read the secret garden today 😊❤️🤩
Tip run done - Mr KK pleased as he’s all ready for the presale inspection tomorrow - The Bedford ran well when started today too.Chloe brought home a young rat (2/3rds grown) - fortunately dead. Mr KK confiscated it before it could become a bloody mess anywhere and I distracted her with breakfast! 😉Whilst I was already wet from rain I watered the greenhouse.Wrangled all the washing - just Mr KK’s sweat shirt on the heated airer finishing off.Made an Italian chocolate hazelnut cake. Sadly it caught a little on the top - not sure if my oven is running hot or if I chose too high a shelf. It is very good though. I plan to wrap all the pieces individually in parchment and freeze as a treat-snack over Christmas. I will also take some with me to work this week as I’m still struggling to eat much so a piece of that will do me quite well as breakfast as it has eggs and hazelnuts in it.Cleaned the water jug and changed the filter - last time of doing that job in 2025!Rang my mum - she had an op on a leg ulcer last week and apparently it is healing up well. She sounded quite chipper 😊
Mr KK still can’t taste anything but he is going to cook tonight - I wonder how much I will be able to eat🤷♀️

I love that book KK. I am going to put out to the universe I would like to find an old copy of it somewhere. (Old books are somehow more precious to me)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

It is a lovely book and I do wonder if that is partly where my passion for gardening came from ... ? 🤔💖

Ah! That explains me forgetting it. Not a much liked book here so definitely no copies in the garage. (that's where our library is). I never read it as a child and only read it when in my early 20s as I was taking a Children's Literature course as part of my degree. I found the course annoying overall as it excluded any of my favourites which were Canadian and thus not part of "great" works. Swallows and Amazons was also annoying. Mowat's Lost in the Barrens was much better to me. As was his The Dog that Wouldn't Be. Or Burford's The Incredible Journey. Which reminds me I must make sure I get another copy of that having lent it to a friend a decade back.KajiKita said:

I have REALLY struggled today. So tired. Sitting in a sofa reading with occasional doings is not the same as trying to concentrate all day. Came home, had a cup of tea and promptly fell asleep on the sofa! Had enough of this bug now! 🙄
Mr KK wrangled the vehicle inspection okay - it sounds like it went well and the guy liked the truck and could see no issues with it. Let’s see if it leads to a sensible offer …
Confused about eating. I’m still not wanting food but my body is behaving as if it’s hungry (getting lightheaded etc.). Do I feed it or not?
