Mine was only about 8 years but very intense …beanielou said:My buddhist practise lasted 20 years. I miss it sometimes.
There were moments of the sublime but there was also so much ego, power play, manipulation and betrayal …. 😉
Now I’m working on finding the moments of the sublime in life as it is now ❤️

Could it be possible that your inner self is actually alive and kicking, and that having been given a bit of downtime and a slightly altered state, it knows that you are safe enough to spend some time in the back of your mind having a look through old files just to check in and update?
Brains and souls gotta diligently do their admin jobs too!3 -
This is a lovely summary ❤️PennysIntoPounds said:Could it be possible that your inner self is actually alive and kicking, and that having been given a bit of downtime and a slightly altered state, it knows that you are safe enough to spend some time in the back of your mind having a look through old files just to check in and update?

And I think it’s an extension of what was already happening for me since leaving the crazy-job, though it took about 12 months before I was recovered enough.

I love this. It is I think sometimes why we all have mini breakdowns as we progress through life.PennysIntoPounds said:Could it be possible that your inner self is actually alive and kicking, and that having been given a bit of downtime and a slightly altered state, it knows that you are safe enough to spend some time in the back of your mind having a look through old files just to check in and update?
Brains and souls gotta diligently do their admin jobs too!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
I'm back in work. Boss was delighted
(I think he may have missed me, though his innate Northerly curmudgeonness would never allow him to admit this!
)
I'm a bit tired but so far okay and my appetite is returning a bit. Mr KK won't be wanting much to eat tonight as he has gone down with the same bug, so I think I will have something simple like jacket spud, cheese and beans.
My new passport is bimbling its way through the process and should be shipped to me to today, which from applying for it on Saturday I think is pretty good going
Transferred £400 to Mr KK as 'sick pay' last night to reduce his fretfulness - I will be so glad when he 'goes on the books' next year!
Appointment has come through from the GP for having a look at my hip issue for 10am 31st December, which is a bit of a PITA in the middle of my Christmas break but I guess it can't be helped.
Not much else to mention atm I think.

Glad you're feeling much better KK, though boo to Mr KK now being ill. Hopefully you'll both have shiny revamped immune systems so no bugs can sneak in for Christmas and the rest of winter.
That is a bit annoying about hip appt but at least you have one, you might be super glad to get out and about for a bit of dull normality by the 31st!3 -
which means you won't have to fret about taking time away from work to attend!! Positivity please!!!KajiKita said:Appointment has come through from the GP for having a look at my hip issue for 10am 31st December, which is a bit of a PITA in the middle of my Christmas break but I guess it can't be helped.
And I'm glad Mr KK got "sick pay".

Glad you're feeling better ☺️...I've also got an annoying appointment - the day before yours and really early. I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't an 8:45 one!!Emergency Fund- £717.772
