Clearly not eating enough of the wildlife! Cat food is like eating junk food - no biting or chewing required. The one of mine that eats raw venison gives her jaw and teeth a real workout, which made me realise how little cat food supports their natural behaviours.5

I suspect that one that eats raw venison will have much better dental health in the long term than the other. Apparently raw chicken wings are fine, so that might be an option, and they have bones to crunch. I might try it on the one that doesn't eat venison. Obviously a freshly-caught pigeon or sparrow would be preferable.4 -

Thanks @Brie and @greenbee, I might try her with a (Edit: raw!) chicken wing and see what she makes of it .... 🤔
Unfortunately, that has prompted Mr KK to ask for a cardboard box that is big enough to get a bike clutch in ...!! 🤣PennysIntoPounds said:*sends Chloe (and KK) a load of cardboard boxes*
I had a huge burst of feeling really, really down last night. I think fatigue is playing a big part in it - I am suffering with constantly disturbed sleep due to my hurty hip and once I'm awake, often my mind starts spinning because I'm getting over stimulated in work (and with PC stuff on top).
So, last night I took a leaf out of @Cheery_Daff's playbook and I:
- Got a grip on a lingering task and ordered a bespoke calendar for my dad for 2026, using photos he has taken when out fell walking and then shared over the last 18 months or so - to be fair it has come out looking much better than I hoped. Mr KK was VERY impressed with me for this one
- Downloaded my head of 'all the things' that need doing in work and emailed it to myself so I didn't have to 'carry them' in my head any more.
- Stopped beating myself up about not doing the large tapestry I have to finish and instead retrieved a much smaller cross stitch frame and did 2 or 3 silk strands of that, without too much finesse or self criticism - it meant when I went up to bed and started trying to go to sleep - THAT was what I saw in my mind's eye, not work
I slept really well, all the way to 10 minutes before the alarm
After a chat with colleagues in work about Christmas presents I am going to have a look online to see if I can find a planted up, spring bulbs, pot for my mum for Christmas - I think she'd love that
Plan going forward will be to stop BEFORE the end of the working day, tidy my desk, write a list for the following day or to capture actions that have come up during the day, to try and calm the 'noise' I seem to carry in my head. Oh, and jack the PC, ASAP!! 🤣

Well done on recognising the issues, take action to turn it around, planning what else can be done to stop slipping back into situations that impact your rest and relaxation.
Do you have a counter down running for when you are leaving the PC?
Your tapestry and cross stitch remind me off myself and books I enjoy both fiction and nonfiction and sometimes I only want to read something light so I do. Usually I reach for the lighter material when I'm unwell or stressed or tired or I can not concentrate often this is the first indication I noticed that I need to take better care of myself.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Well done 😊😊 so pleased you were able to calm yourself and your mind a little. Sometimes the smallest action helps doesn't it?
I think we'll all be celebrating once that PC is out of your life! 😂2 -
I have no idea how big a bike clutch is but I do have a lovely vision of Mr KK and Chloe both sitting in a box with Chloe having torn out a bit so she can see out too 😊😁5
