Does she have other toys? Favourites here are springs, squeaky mice, and catnip bananas, but they also have crinkly foil balls, ping pong balls, and balls with bells in. Boxes are for hiding in. Paper is for hiding under/jumping on. Wine corks are also popular.ย3 -

My much missed old cat loved his catnip banana, was his favourite toy and he'd licked and loved it so much it was more grey than yellow ๐ป

I donโt think itโs anything to do with her claws - itโs definitely a teeth activity - chomping down and pulling, the only paw use is to hold the box down to enable a better purchase! ๐
She has lots of other toys including a squeaky toy, balls, a catnip rat (that gets regularly disembowelled! ๐) and new tower with balls stuck in a track.ยKKAs at 16.07.26:
