That is a horrible pain. Poor Mr KK. Would he consider if something like acupuncture might help? I've no idea if it would but I have used it in the past for shoulder pain after an injury and it did help.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

I don't know if this will help but I have had sciatica for decades but it had reduced in later years. However I have not even had a twinge since the surgeon doing my hip replacement made my legs the same length & how weird does that sound!3

Thanks @Watty1, @debtfreewannabe321, @greenbee, @badmemory - I have passed your advice and good wishes on to Mr KK which has made him smile. He does do stretches when he gets into this state and does know a good physio. I think he’ll go with rest and anti inflammatories for a bit and see how he gets on …
In other news, we have booked a first floor flat in a 15th century building for the 2nd week of June in the centre of Bayeux for our 20th wedding anniversary 😊❤️ I have half saved for this trip so the spend tonight (£629) is all covered and we’ll have the rest in place by the time we have to finish paying 😊
Something for us to look forward to through the dark winter months … 🌞❤️😊

Sounds lovely. I've tried to see that tapestry three times. Twice they'd just shut for lunch; the third time I tried was on a day they didn't even open. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx4

When we’re there the tapestry will be in the UK on loan whilst they redevelop the museum it is housed in, in Bayeux. We saw it on honeymoon though, so I know what I’m missing 🤷♀️ FWIW, it is worth the effort. 😊Humdinger1 said:Sounds lovely. I've tried to see that tapestry three times. Mr KK went into work yesterday and was a very odd shape by the time he got home … I set him up with a hot water bottle which seemed to help a lot - he managed to site at the dining table for a whole meal last night without a significant twinge. He’s knocked the co-codymol on the head as they doesn’t seem to help at all and they just ‘bung him up’.He’s taken the day off today and is saying that the twinges he is still having are steadily getting less intense, so I’m hoping another two days of being quiet will see him okayish for going back to work on Monday.I was very glad to finish at lunchtime today as it’s been a manic week. I was going to walk through town to change my library books and pick up some new passport forms. However … as I walked from the office door to my car the wind blew my umbrella inside oit and the rain absolutely soaked the back of my legs and fleece - ugh … 😣 I abandoned going into town and decided to come straight home. Coming home meant negotiating fallen branches and lots of standing / running water so I asked Mr KK if I could avoid going out tonight for a takeaway and just feed us from home. To be fair he’d been looking at the weather and had been planning to say the same thing … ❤️
I then togged up in gumboots and full waterproof to:
- refill the bird feeder
- split some kindling
- bring in some firewood
- retrieve SM curries from the external cellar
- pick parsley from the garden to make the curry salad with tonight
All the above whilst coming and going through the ‘water lock’ aka the conservatory!Chloe is bored and fed up. We’re bored and fed up! 😉😂 the lights are flickering … 🙄
Roll on tomorrow when hopefully this weather will have blown through ….
