I think job interviews are worse than dating. You have to make up your mind on something that affects your life in such a major way based on just a few mins - ok - 95 mins in this case but still. Both of you were on bestest behaviour trying to convince another. So difficult.
A thought: being a big fish in a small pond, would that give you influence with the big boss regardless of site manager?
Hope the offer comes through for you, you obviously are a talented lady with great skills that you present well. Fingers crossed for youMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
That sounds positive! Hopefully you at least get an offer, and then you can make your mind up about what to do about it 😊2

Maybe journal or walk solo to think it through
I chant to help make my decisions but whatever works for you to give you mental clarity - it’s worth taking the time out
if there is something saying ‘no’ to you maybe ask directly about it once you get the offerDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Whilst your current role is not ideal, you are not in the same position and I would suggest that your decision last time was not flawed but was necessary to give you the breathing space to find your ideal next position.6 -
Do whatever feels right but don't let past people being rubbish affect your potential. At the end of the day you already don't like your job so if you don't like this one you'll at least be nearer home not liking it!3

Trust yourself KK and you will make the right choice ..... our choices are made at a point in time, with all the information we have available. Sometimes the outcome might not be quite what we expect - like in your job now. It doesnt mean you made a bad choice, just that more information becomes available to us so we reassess and maybe make different choices and so the cycle goes on!5

But there are so many positives (better pension, much shorter commute, flexible working, far more interesting job, genuinely being needed not just being a technical skivvy, as I am at the moment). However, I can see I won’t be doing SHE on my own and my boss to be would definitely want me to be doing Q and although he is a dominant person, he is also very self aware I.e. absolutely 180 to my previous boss! 😉

It’s been a good day 😊
- Spoke to my friend in Japan as he messaged me yesterday saying he wanted to tell me about a new job he had landed 😊👏
- Renewed the water filter jug and gave it and the kettle filter a good scrub 👏
- Whilst the new filter was draining twice before use, I did a walkf1t workout and a bit of yoga stretching as I am feeling as stiff as a board at the moment.
- Two loads of washing out to the line and almost dry when brought in
- Much sitting on sofa watching V0yager doing tapestry 🪡
- Got out in the garden for an hour or so and made good progress on tidying the courtyard pond and beds. Much green slime removed from the pond, the poor, abused-by-the-renderer-last-year, fern has been cut back and all the slop the renderer left all over the courtyard floor has been broken / chipped up and bagged up! There’s more (proper gardening) to do in this area, but that’s the hard bit done 😊
- My car passed its MOT first time and had a full service - £390, which is okay as I had £1,000 put aside for it. I won’t move any remaining monies out of that pot but I will work out what the reduced contribution would be to get it to £1K again by this time next year. If that’s a reasonable amount of slack I will split it between savings and OPs - I will update further … 😊
- Recruiter for local job has been on. I have a call with the about to be, new UK QSHE Director on Monday evening at 6pm and I will meet the rest of the team and actually see the factory running properly on Tuesday afternoon - I have requested a half day for that 🤞
