So, today …. 😊
- Booked toscos deliveries all the way up to 22nd December! Took an hour to even log in from 06.22! Phew, glad that’s done ….
- New fridge ordered, as discounted as I could get and will be delivered next Tuesday. We are both relieved. Tried for CB but it was a paltry amount. Happy to get the discounts.- Cancelled the A0 5 star subscription fee that was coming up in mid November (which tbh, I had forgotten all about!) as we couldn’t find anything suitable on there - £40 saved there.- Paid log man - £286. Pretty pricey but that will be all the spend on logs now till 2025 😉
- Chased recruiter about two roles
- Updated my CV on CV L1brary as this was recommended to me by my old incoming inspector as apparently it gets you to the top of the pile again - 3 calls from recruiters within an hour! One with a serious potential role.- Sent some possible recipes to a friend 😊
- As part of sending recipes, I also started reviewing some of my recipe books and have been DELIGHTED to realise a lot of them aren’t straight vegan but veggie, so I should review / reread them properly to see what other recipes I could try 😊
- Cleared the area behind the garage where we store the wood shed overflow - quite an effort as there were aco drain sections, sections of bathroom panelling and all kinds of ‘useful’ spare / leftover stuff Mr KK thought might be needed at some unknown point in the future … 🙄😂 Moved firewood until my back started protesting. Nearly cleared a tonne bag though 💪😊👏 Mr KK finished that tonight.
- Finally had my eye test, after 5 years and missing the last appointment thanks to forgetting my handbag! No major issues. Ordered 3 pairs of glasses. With those and the test cost me £145 which I didn’t think was too bad 😊
And now …. The good news! 😊👏🎉🥳 I have been invited for a first stage interview for a job I really like the look of that fulfills quite a few of the statements on my vision board (the company does good in the world, is financially secure, only a 30 minute commute) on T3ams next Wednesday …. Squeeeee! 😊❤️🤞

Brilliant news re the job interview next weekDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @~FlowerPot~, @dawnybabes, @LadyWithAPlan 😊 Am chasing the recruiter to get me a proper job spec as we both think we haven’t seen one yet ….
@LadyWithAPlan, those sander units come with really heavy weight gloves to isolate you from the sand. A bit like you would see people using in a chemistry or biological research context. 😊
I am feeling really sore and tired this morning. Both knees got tweaked yesterday when clearing the space behind the garage (a narrow space, sliding about on wet pallets), my hips are tight and sore, lower back and both shoulders! Think it’s going to have to be a gentle relaxing day today … I will aim to do some yoga in a bit to try and ease things off, my new physio exercises and at least get out for a walk. For the rest I will focus on cleaning / clearing / organising the house.KKAs at 15.08.25:
