I was another one who read 'colon' in the wrong contextΒ Β  >:)

Glad the gardening is still nourishing you - and the knitting soothing. I adore the colour.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I call my boss that now to Mr KK when discussing my day and it makes us laugh every time … πŸ˜‰
    I love rich colours 😊

Sub Β£250k is well worth celebrating.Β  Even if it is 'just' a scone in the garden.
I’ve just shared this thought with Mr KK. He agrees it would be good to do something nice, but cheap, to celebrate. I had the mad idea of buying a packet of sparklers and burning through those after dark … 🀩 We will have a think πŸ€” 😊

Been another mad busy day. Managed to get in before my boss did - heh! So he can’t moan about me finishing early yesterday….! He did look quite surprised! πŸ˜‚

I have done an inventory of all three freezers (not as bad as it sounds - they are all larder sized, one in the kitchen, two in the cellar) as our monthly food spend is at 108% of budget and we have another weekly shop to go before my next payday! We are determined to eat the freezers down - we think we could get two weeks meals out of them for the two of us. I have to confess to having 24 veggie sausages! πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚ I have no idea how … πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But there is some ancient, frozen, chopped, cooked beetroot, so I am thinking of some kind of sausage batch-stew-casserole type thing ….

Survey for remortgage happened this morning. ApparentlyΒ the only question the surveyor chap asked, was about whether the house was under pinned. Oh, and whether we were remortgaging to pay for the bathroom - with no reaction when he was told that it was all already paid for. He poked around a lot at the cracks in the external render and used his damp meter a LOT. We are both feeling a bit β€˜picked at’ ….. Cross your fingers for a half decent valuation as I hear surveyors are being quite defensive atm ….

Hope the survey all is OK. Hve you thought about buying an outdoorΒ  solar lamp as some of those look great and you can 'flash' some of them as well as take it with you
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rateΒ isΒ attributed to the fact that weΒ don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.Β  Β Β Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @savingholmes, I’d didn’t actually manage to find time to book a week on Friday - every time I tried someone else interrupted me! I also failed to ring the GP about a blood test to renew my meds! πŸ™„
Have emailed myself at work to remind myself about both of these things so I can forget about them for now.Β

Thank you 😊 But why the comment about the solar lamp - now confused πŸ˜‚

Just managed to cash out £6.12 on QM33 - first time in months! Also added a 99p TT to an OP this morning 😊 Nice way to start the day.

It’s bright but damp here and I am heading out to see my friend late morning, so I must get myself in gear and plant out the last of my beans and the black eyed Susans on the bean frame and tie them in before breakfast 😊
