I do love a good conversation at cross purposes. Dealing with ridiculous teenagers it happens a lot here.
Hope Colonel Colon behaves himself today.

Sorry re the boss ..
hope Bridgy 3 is good! ( never got over Rege Jean Page leaving )DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Well, I’m feeling a bit ‘morning after the night before here’. Went out last night, all the way to the marquee in the chapel field over the hedge at the bottom of our garden! Didn’t drink but it was late night for me so feeling a bit about. Cracking night though; listening to a folk duo and eating a ploughman’s and cakes with others from the village 😊 The fiddler is proper talented - there were moments when we weren’t in that tent anymore, thanks to her playing ❤️🤩
Limited ambitions for this weekend as I am tired after an intense week and my late night.I would like to get my broad beans out and my runner beans in (hokey-cokey tune here please! 😉😂)
Make a veggie bolognese batch tonight to have with a baked spud - Mr KK should be out, weather permitting, so I can have what I like 😊
Reading, knitting, basic chores.Beyond that, pottering about at whatever comes to mind ….

Well yesterday ended up being something of a non-day ….
The weather here was very showery, no good for Mr KK who was meant to be away for the weekend, residing under canvas, meaning he didn’t go anywhere. So my quiet weekend to myself was shot. He suggested that he start knocking plaster off the wall in the bathroom. I vetoed this as I really needed a quiet weekend! Instead he tinkered in the garage and on the dining room table with his bike restoration.
I did manage to get the broad beans out with the last harvest collected, but the rain meant I couldn’t get back out there again to start cleaning / mulching the ground to get the runner beans in …. I have a barrow of bramble, hazel, pulled fern and hawthorn stems to dispose of from the side of that bed too.
In the afternoon I was slam dunked with tiredness, so went to bed for a bit. Still slept fully last night to 6am so must have needed it.Did manage to do my veggie bolognese batch - that just needs labelling and taking down to the cellar freezer. Two rows of knitting done along with some reading. The forecast here should be better today! 🤞 Runner beans will be ‘Go!’ by the end of the day!! 😊

Do you leave your broad bean roots in? The runners should go like the clappers, and you will be eating them in no time.
My first strawbs (growing on the wall in a spare piece of guttering) have turned red. They look fab and will be inside me by the end of the day. I think I only managed to get 2 or 3 last year, very disappointing, so my ys ones this year have beaten that by 500%4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

If they try to send out runner to make new plants this year, encourage them 😊
Runner bean Construction is up (it’s definitely a construction with a capital C as it’s about 8 feet high!) and runner beans are in … 🤞
Other than that, didn’t do much today as am still tired. Did three rows and watched lots of Bridgeyness 😊
