It's a well known fact that a shiny clean motorcycle looks like it has been cared for its MOT and has a better chance of passing.
That’s *EXACTLY* the reason (excuse! 🙄😂😂) he gave me! 😂😂😂😊 I asked if the bike was his new girlfriend! 😂😂

Good luck with the tyres hunt ….  They aren’t cheap either.

Hooray for senior colleague who has your back. Maybe you could lose a couple of pounds by installing a punch bag with 'Boss's Nonsense' written on it 😁

Had feedback from cousin about readings for funeral on Monday … vicar is insisting it is scripture and sent a list. I read some of the first ones from the list today - Romans 8 - nuh uh - there’d be people slitting their wrists in the aisles!! Good grief - sooooo violently bleak!! Not up for that.

So the search begins for something scriptural but gentle and / or uplifting.

Sorry Beanie, you’ve lost me. My judgement on Romans 8?
Apologies, I mean no offence but reading about people enduring yet more suffering to support Christ’s mission doesn’t sit well with me and isn’t what I want to express at a funeral when people are already fragile and sad.

Does the Vicar actually get to insist on anything?? Surely the family decides? Good luck finding something xx

And I've just had a quick skim of Romans 8 😱 There would be a very sharp intake of breath from me if that ever appeared at a funeral. Doesn't feel very appropriate at all!

My apologies. I am tired & replied quickly. I meant the vicar. I had no idea that they could insist on things to that extent.
