I always wait for deals as it’s £3.30 for 20 bags but they often do in tesco and sains half price or £2 .. it’s very comforting
at least you are not having to search for a new carDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Yes, a big relief …. 😊
Nuts day with back to back, and some doubled up meetings - managed to get outside for my two rounds of the building in the sunshine at lunchtime but ended up eating my lunch at my desk in the following Teams call … Only two more days to the end of my week - I have Friday off to help Mr KK celebrate his birthday on Saturday 😊
Since coming home:
- Recorded and submitted gas and electric meter readings
- Cleared the last scraps of clean washing from the weekend to upstairs
- Installed new, windscreen suction, telescopic, phone holder so I can use my mobile as a sat nav - seems quite robust - £11.73 well spent 👏
- Done my financial updates - nothing of any significance to report …. Still haven’t updated all my YNAB savings pots for the month after my payday … Must cancel two insurances we don’t really need any more …
- Ordered one of my prescriptions via the NHS app.
That’ll do tonight! I was hoping to do some cleaning as well, but I am too shattered now. If I did, I would end up overtired, stressed and fretful. Instead, I am sat on the sofa whilst Mr KK cooks his chop dinner, with no sound from the telly and so peace and quiet. 😉 Still have my food prep to do for tomorrow and must have a shower / wash my hair tonight, but am hoping some food will allow me to feel energised enough to do that!KKAs at 15.08.25:

Got some jobs knocked over in work and made good progress on a horribly knotty technical subject - quite proud of this one as have kept all stakeholders on side in a fairly pressured situation 😊 All my team are all fully PDA’d for the first time, just in time (deadline was today)! 😊Set another homework for my English student and ordered the next reading book - a Phillip Pullman this time 😊 Other than, having a nice quiet evening 😊
