That was a nice amount to get extra.
🤞 for the battery ….
Yes, very nice. And quite a surprise. I had vaguely heard there was a referral payment but honestly didn’t expect to get it! 😊

Thanks @redofromstart and @PennysIntoPounds 😊
It’s very cold here - the frost on the garage roof is so thick it looks like snow! Hopefully it is clear enough we will get some good sunshine later 🌞😊
I am up, dressed, had a cup of tea, drawn my face on and am contemplating defrosting the car …. 🥶

Went over to the garage this morning and got my battery. The car generally seems to be running better so have turned the stop/start function back on and am 🤞 £212.51 including fitting, VAT, disposal etc.
Done all my financial updates including various bits of interest that had landed in various savings accounts - I am getting close to having £20K savings (across all my various pots) - I NEVER thought that was possible a year or so ago 🤩
The extra funds from the referral bonus I have divvied up between savings, an extra payment to my credit card (there has been two car bills and a vet bill in recent weeks!) and a £150 OP 🤩❤️🎉 That has saved us c. £52 in interest over the remaining time of the mortgage 😊 💪👏
Got massively ratty and bad tempered mid morning, like I was boiling over. Suddenly realised that I had a raging headache so took myself off to bed for a short nap and took a Sud@fed with my lunch. I also apologised to poor Mr KK for barking at him.We then spent the afternoon in the garden - firstly trimming his beard and then clearing the top pond of a bamboo and moss that had completely taken over! In the melee of the bamboo clump we found two carnivorous plants, one of which is huge and two water lilies 😊 This pond definitely does need some replanting now though.
He then moved onto trimming water shoots off the apple trees, under close supervision by La Belle Floof, whilst I retrieved re-sprouting elephant garlic bulbs from my crazy weedy veg beds - divvied them up and replanted the biggest ones 😊
Done the English coaching session today - he’s finally starting to self correct as he is reading back his work to me and use expression in his voice as he is reading his book choice to me - the penny is dropping 😊👏 I have told him and his dad that I want to stop at the end of March when the clocks change as I want my weekends in the garden to be uninterrupted. I would be happy to restart in September, for his GCSE year if he wants to, but I want my summer to myself. They have been wailing at me a bit about this, but I found my time in the garden was foreshortened today, by having to come in for the lesson, so I know I am making the right decision for me.Going to do some prep for the lunch tomorrow this evening - washing the grapes and tomatoes etc. but the sandwiches will have to wait for tomorrow morning. Before:
