Feeling a bit better this morning (in spite of a horrible dream in the middle of the night). A bit less ‘beaten up’ by life! 😊
As well as bookcase wrangling as detailed above, Mr KK also wants me to take down and rehook the patio door curtains so they hang higher. Fold and tuck way so Mr KK can paint that wall. Also hoping to pop out and get a coupe of things Mr KK wants, plus a Christmas present I have finally thought of for him! 😊
I also want to spend some time deciding on my Heritage seed order.
There may be some reading and R&R amongst the above …. 😉 Little gardening is likely though as the forecast is dire.KKAs at 15.07.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
- OPs to mortgage = £11,816 Interest saved £5,28 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

Bookcase cleaned 😊
Curtains taken down, rehooked and folded out of the way.Shopping done, including secret present for Mr KK and a book he was eyeing up at the weekend but didn’t treat himself to 😊 Also bought the Christmas Radio Times and another magazine for him so he might actually sit down and rest a bit over Christmas!Returned the work trousers to Screwfix that apparently don’t have enough pockets! 🙄😂 That’s £38.98 back via PayPal (I will need to keep an eye out for that). That meant I decluttered a whole box in the kitchen and uncovered the chair that we sit on out there - finally!Got stung on the neck, ferociously, outside screwfix - think it must have been a wasp? I have anti-H’d with both tablet and cream but it’s still pretty sore. In December as well! 🤷♀️🙄
Picked up two toiletries presentation packs for the local old folks home, which another parish councillor is collecting and will take over to the home next week 😊Put all washing away including packing up two new sweatshirts for Mr KK, now washed and ready to wear, in a brown paper bag that I will add some bows to before putting under the tree! 😊
Took receipt of a small soft parcel with my mum’s handwriting on ❤️I would start polishing the bookcase but I am currently stuck under the cat, who is happily asleep and so I can’t move ….! 😉😂

I did get the bookcase polished and refilled and identified about a shelf’s worth of books to get rid of. 9 of them are going be sold (I will pack and ship them tomorrow) and the rest can go to the CS.
Also got the small bookcase emptied and Mr KK is flitting from one end of the room to the other as things dry ….

Ouch to an unexpected wasp sting! 😱 Hope it eases soon.
You sound like you're getting a lot done at the minute! Glad the case turned up too 😊1 -
My sympathies over the wasp sting. I got stung in November taking washing off the line, it was so unexpected it was a huge shock as well as painful.1

Ouch on the sting! hope it gets better v quick.
You have reminded me i want to buy some veg seeds for my df..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
