Glad you are home safe. That journey sounds awful. Can't believe you then went into work! I would have been taking time back.

I had the Friday off before as otherwise I wouldn’t have had time to do all my usual washing etc.
I didn’t stay long and I was literally passing it on the M5.

    Slept well 😊
Floof is currently sat on me whilst I am in bed purring like a little engine ❤️
It’s raining hard here but I have no significant plans this morning other than doing English coaching prep and some washing. Once Toscos have been and we have wrangled, we will go down to Monmouth to have lunch and try some Christmas shopping.  (It’s vanishingly rare that we do coupley things like this 😊). I only really need a book for my dad and packing materials. Mr KK needs presents for both his mum and dad - we will see how it goes!

Oh apparently I have gained 3lbs whilst away! 😳🙄 Some of that will be fluid retention from the flights (my ankles were a bit swollen whilst I was away) and some of it will be the ridiculous amount of bread I was eating compared to my usual diet these days. Ah well 🤷‍♀️ I know where I am starting from and I am actually looking forward to getting back to my previous way of eating now 😊

Glad you got a warm welcome from the cat.
She was a bit ‘off’ with me when I first got back (as is normal with cats - how dare you disturb MY routine) but this morning more than made up for it 😊❤️

I have just rung KLM. They can tell me literally nothing other than my case hasn’t been found at either Amsterdam or Bristol, that’s it. No sense of timescale or when they will be able to tell me anything, other than it takes an *average* of a week to find and return lost luggage! 😳🙄
    Absolutely.
    Useless.
Apparently I can replace the lost items and then make a claim.
I don’t want that hassle. I want my case!
Plus I had some just started, cream type medica in there, so I am also going to have the hassle of explaining to the surgery why i have apparently been overusing that as well.
    AAAAARGH!!

    Grump.

    Thanks Beanie, SH 🤷‍♀️
Now trying to be que sera, sera about it all …. as I can’t stand it being in my head! 😉

Had a nice time out with Mr KK. Lunch was good - he paid after I bought a load of stuff for the house in the hardware shop including a new flask for him and we got all the presents we needed.
Just done the week’s English coaching and totally freaked him out by telling him what his Christmas homework is - to read 4 books, including the one he is reading now and write a mini book report on each one. TBH, if he read two I would be happy - it will offset the Arabic he will be surrounded by all over the Christmas break … 😉

  • I've put Lessons in Chemistry on my TBR list!

Sounds like a nightmare trip back after an intensive week - fingers crossed your case reappears and the surgery can redispense your script.
