    Today.
First job - empty case and get the washing on. There is some new stuff from Land of End that has been sitting in its delivery parcel for a while now - that can go in the same wash.
Second job rub down, wipe down and gloss skirting boards in the corner behind where my bookcase lives in the lounge.
Take parents Christmas parcel to post office and ship. Whilst out, refuel car.
Start clearing and cleaning house …. 😳

@KajiKita not yet quite up to date with your diary but can I say that K*M has the worst reputation in the world for losing luggage.  I spent more time filling in lost luggage forms than I ever did flying with them.  Don't do overseas travel these days so I hope things have moved on....

Got the suitcase emptied, washing done (it’s nearly dry),
rubbed down and glossed(ish - it’s not good 🤷‍♀️) the skirting,
parcel posted (though I nearly wanted to wallop some old guy in the queue behind me who was standing waaay too close - ugh! satisfied myself with resting my parcel on my hip and sticking that elbow out a lot, as close to his direction as possible),
refuelled the car (petrol prices are dropping again a bit?),
emptied all the bins from every room into the black wheelie bin and got that put out ready for tomorrow’s collection
    cleaned bathroom and loo,
won wifely brownie points by noticing on FB that it’s FiL’s birthday today and I knew Mr KK hadn’t remembered! 😳 Texted him, we ran up a plan and he’s just now gone hurtling over there with one of the books he intended giving his dad for Christmas and a card I found in my stash.

I have been struggling today. Fell asleep on the sofa after lunch (with Floof on my lap) and I have just been overwhelmed by the mess and the muddle here - I really don’t know where to start ☹️ I think part of it is that I finally slept properly last night for the first time in over a week and woke feeling absolutely stewed and it’s all caught up with me - the travelling stress, the eating out of routine, the patchy sleep etc etc. Hoping that tomorrow will be better. Right now I feel like a wrung out dishcloth.

    Thanks Beanie ❤️

Tomorrow will be a bit more structured as I will have my bookcase to deep clean, books to deep clean, my bookcase to refill and then a smaller bookcase to empty for Mr KK so he can get into the opposite corner. Doing all that will make Mr KK happy 😊

Mr KK’s dad was wrestling with re-siliconing the shower when Mr KK got there, so Mr KK ended up doing it for him. That’s what I call a proper birthday present 😉

Mr KK’s dad is very cross with HMG …. He, like so many other pensioners is now pushed into having to do a flipping tax return for the first time in his life! How is this actually going to work?! There must be so many 80+ people that are now pushed into this - I wouldn’t to wrangle with HRMC, why would they … And will HRMC have the bandwidth to cope with all the extra traffic? 🤷‍♀️

I wonder why over 80's now have to complete a tax return.
If my maw does I see it ending in tears TBH.

They’ve had an 8% increase in pension but no corresponding tax allowance increase, it’s going to affect 1,000s of pensioners.
