Aaaand my flight has been cancelled …. Apparently the Dutch airline do this a lot - cancel flights in the morning so they fill up their mid day / evening flights. It does mean I don’t have a frantically early start tomorrow, which is nice, but will mean I miss a fairly important meeting!

  • How very frustrating, used to annoy me with compensation vouchers for the company when I was the one who lost time at home. Hope you can dial in for your meeting.

    Thanks Beanie, Redo, Saving 😊

For @Merlin's_Beard, I have just finished another good book, ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ by Bonnie Garmus - think you would appreciate this one 😊😉

I will be mid air, literally 🤷‍♀️
I had considered applying for compensation but if the company gets it even if I put the effort into claim it, I don’t think I’ll bother.

    A WWYD question …..

I have been sat in Schipol airport all day waiting for a flight, first one cancelled, second one postponed 4 times and then cancelled.
There are c. 100 flights that have been cancelled at Schipol today.
I managed by the skin of my teeth to get a hotel room and as I was getting a taxi back to here I had a text saying KLM had a flight for me at 22.40 - would you believe them or would you stay here and try and get another flight in the morning after a reasonable night’s rest and some food?

Flight rebooked for 8.15 am which means getting up at 5.30am for the shuttle bus at 6am from the hotel and having breakfast at the airport. But at least it is all sorted now.  I just hope my luggage keeps up …
