Well, it’s a very fine, wood wire and natural bristle washing up brush. But it’s a joke because my parents still try to buy whatever was available 60 years ago, they really don’t move on much at all. My mum still uses soft, all string, washing up brushes and a sort of twisted, plastic scourer thing. Last year I bought my dad some brightly coloured, silicone scrapers for cleaning out bowls - the kind of thing that were starting to come in when I was at school and it was like I had introduced him to little rocket ships! His reaction reminded me very much of the story of Eeyore being so delighted with his burst ballon and empty hunny pot …. I saw this brush yesterday, to me it seems like an upgrade and if I pack it up labelled for both of them as ‘just for fun’, they will get it 😊South_coast said:I am SO intrigued about the joke washing up brush....🤔
Thanks @Cheery_Daff, @skint_spice 😊

Brrrr, it’s cold! 🥶
Car not happy - some weird engine safety throttle-back thing kicked in and it struggled to go up through the revs, plateauing at 3.5K revs which meant I could barely get up to 70mph on the flat and dropping back down to c. 50mph on hills on the motorway …. 😳🙄 After my haircut for the return journey, car was fine again!?! 🤷♀️ That made me late getting there, I got lost as my hairdresser had moved my appointment to his mini salon in his garden and I misremembered where it was …. Argh …. Long journey home culminating in a 12 foot strip of silage wrap flying up from the road and wrapping itself around my wing mirror …. So I have this flappy thing … what do I do …? I dropped the window and untwazzled it from my wing mirror …. But what now …? On a country A road with nowhere to stop and reasonable amounts of traffic in both directions, I can’t let go of it as there a risk of it blowing on the windscreen of the vehicle behind me … In the end I dragged a goodly chunk of it into the car with me, shut the window to trap it and drove home with it being a smelly black banner with ‘eau de silage’ in the car with me …. 😂 Said plastic wrap is now in the bin!Washing wrangling not going well. New machine has refused to wash the volume of washing I put in it even though I have decanted items from it twice now. If it doesn’t finish the cycle this time I will be tempted to ‘do something’ to the stupid thing ….
T3scos and I both late, so although I could wrangle the shop without disturbing Mr KK from his wiring-coving-painting mission, we are too late to go and buy a Christmas tree this morning, so we will try after lunch. So tired ….

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
