Training booked for three members of my team who will be using the big new exciting machine. Just before Christmas - my present to them! 😉😂
Got home to a huge quote to renew the Floof’s pet insurance. Did three comparison sites and got it down from £211.48 to £81.26 for the year! 😳 I wouldn’t have minded but we have made no claims and she has no existing conditions! That first price was ridiculous. Couldn’t get cashback as the site didn’t offer the same deal as when going through GoCart and the increase in cost via TCB was more than the cashback would have been.KKAs at 15.10.25:

Well done on the pet quote. I went with a silly price last time as I didn't have the energy to search. My cat is also older and it gets harder to find suitable insurance.
Glad you are happy over the new work delivery.

Well I never …. Two weekends ago I spent a long time doing an epic survey on desserts - had to design mood boards and all sorts. Took ages. They stated that I would be paid £25. I didn’t really believe it especially as when I submitted my ‘project’ nothing seemed to happen … 🤷♀️
Had an email this evening with my £25 reward! I am stunned 🤩 Taken quite a bit of faffing about but have managed to convert it into a T3scos voucher. If that works (which does seem credible) I will divert £20 of that to OP and leave the rest on the grocery shop this week. Proper chuffed 😊
Feeling quite positive in spite of G1gaclear being disorganised - they rang me this evening to tell me that they can’t come tomorrow to install our fibre broadband as there is an issue at the local box which they have only just discovered … 🙄 Bit annoying as it would have been easier for various meetings to be in work tomorrow, but I will save on fuel at least 😉
Picked up one of my prescriptions enroute on the way home this evening, so that saves me going in the opposite direction at the weekend to where I need to go to get to the charity shop etc. Changed my sheets and got my workspace all set up for tomorrow as I have an early meeting with my Italian boss where I am planning to ask for some sanity / career advice.Mr KK is beetling on through creating a stone fireplace and has found some stone slabs at the local builders merchant that might work for the hearth. We have a ‘date’ booked to go and look at it on Saturday morning 😉❤️😂

Personally I'd steer clear of that kind of fireplace as they are hard to undo - but obviously it depends whether it is in keeping with the period and size of your room/house.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

This kind of fireplace is in keeping with the old stone cottage we live in, is in similar stone to the original fireplace in the snug, and will help the modern living room match better with the house. We have doubled the size of the living room by moving the doors to the end of the room so the sofa can go back against the wall (it previously sat in the centre of the room and completely blocked it up). We have also noticed that since pulling the stove out of the exterior mounted, too narrow chimney stack / fireplace we are feeling a lot more heat from the stove and are burning less wood.savingholmes said:Great news on the voucher.
