Do you feel peace now you've made a decision re the other job? Your reasons seem sound. At least you know it's those reasons rather than money driving your decision making.

    The garden plans sound positive.
Not exactly peace but my energy levels rose as soon as I acknowledged the lack of connection with the would be boss so it was obviously weighing in me.

Quite excited about the sowing etc 😊 I bought some species daffodil bulbs last weekend so I will plant some clumps of those too 😊

I love daffodils, you can never have too many! I have discovered some bonus bulbs in my garden as a squirrel has been digging up my neighbour’s and stashing them in my garden. Could get interesting come spring!

She does! We were talking about the fact it’s becoming very bold and we are both paranoid about leaving our doors ajar for our pets in case the squirrel comes in. When she said it had been taking her bulbs I told her I had found some when cutting my lawn😂

That's hilarious about the bulbs 😂

Well done for making a decision about the job. Sounds like a sensible one. No point going through all that upheaval if it's not quite the right thing.

Hectically intense end to the week - pretty much back to back meetings from 9am to 3pm! But some positives in there - really useful discussion about the interaction of an external function with the site and some ways forward (absolutely critical as the site’s 9001 certificate is at stake!), a cracking 1:1 review with one of my latest recruits (he is loving the job and the company 😊) and got the data / update slides needed for one of the business reviews over to my boss by close of play 😊

Driving home today was a genuine struggle. I almost started feeling a bit sleepy. Got home to find Mr KK MOWING the grass at the bottom of the garden to within a millimetre of its life, in preparation for the Great Scarifying and Ceremonial Sowing Event tomorrow 🤩❤️ We are both quite excited about this project and had fun this evening ‘designing’ the areas to remain as grass and what to scari-sow 😊 We followed the curve of the land for the path down from the pergola to the pond (photo below), and then echoed the same curve on the other side by the big vehicle shed. It’s all mowable with the ride-on so easy to maintain next season 😊

While he was doing that I got stuck into cleaning the bathroom and loo (my worst job) so that’s done before the weekend even starts! 😊 That actually helped my energy levels. Interesting. Had a cuppa together down by the pond 😊 Meal planning and online shop for tomorrow done 😊 Just need to load the washing machine for an overnight run so I can get it on the line before I head out for my hair cut tomorrow morning and then I can flop! 😊

Wayleave payment for the power pole that is just on the edge of our ground arrived today - £76.67
I will have to bank it, as it is made out to me but once it clears I will use it for an OP (I remember when the first one arrived three years ago I had to stash it away as a contribution to our energy bills. Nice to see how things have moved on for us 😊)
