Yah for getting rid of stuff.
Have loaded up the car this evening, after the deluge swept through! 🌧️ Felt good. Going to do one last sweep through the chests of doom drawers …..

Nice to have a guilt free takeaway and feel you've helped someone else along the way.

Well done on the decluttering too.

    Thanks @beanielou and @savingholmes 😊

    So far today:
    - 2 loads of washing done and out on the line - I suspect it won’t dry properly but any evaporation will help! 😉
    - CS run - I was complimented again on the presentation of my offerings 😊 I had left all the stuff from the wardrobes on their hangers, wrapped a rubber band around the hangers to keep them together and then held them altogether in heavy duty bin bags. Unfortunately I somehow forget to take the jewellery I planned to donate - that will have to wait for another day 🤷‍♀️
    - The chest of drawers I want to get out of my bedroom is EMPTY!!!! Whoop!
    - Whilst in town, I have sent a return back to End of Lands as the body warmer I bought from them had me feeling suffocated! I thought it cost a lot to do the return - £4.90. Even with cashback I am going to have to think twice about buying from them again if I need to do returns …. Bah.
    - Trip to Tree of Grape to get my cheaper nuts, goji berries, cacao nibs, herbal tea bags and other bits. Hit the £50 spend for 10% discount and had £2.38 of accrued points, so took that off the balance as well.
    - made myself a cracking breakfast of left over mushrooms, scrambled eggs and half an avocado with one slice of pumpkin rye bread. I am slowly losing a bit of weight, but the best thing is, I am sleeping well and feeling so much better mentally, I have no cravings now after pretty much cutting out all carbs.
Next tasks are to get the towels onto wash, wait for for Mr KK to have his morning break snack and brew, followed by washing up and tidying up the kitchen ready for the groceries delivery (will start the finances update then) and then get ready to go out for lunch with a friend 😊 Around this I shall play in the garden - I have bulbs to get in and broad bean plants to set out after a bit of weeding 😊

  • Your breakfast sounds lovely.

Must plant the few bulbs I bought, even if I just bung them in pots for the patio. Last spring I had a pot of tiny red tulips that I moved into my study window eyeline once they started flowering. Amazing pence per smile return on that one.

Where's the chest of drawers due to go?

Make sure you send us photos of the bulbs once in flower next year. I love those kind of drifts of colour.

The chest of drawers will be leaving the building! It is a very dark wood whereas the rest of my bedroom furniture is oak or oak-like. I might look at Bay of E, but if that doesn’t get it gone, FBMP or the local hospice shop as they collect furniture which helps.

Had a lovely time with my friend - good food and good chat 😊

I deliberately went across the Forest afterwards to one of the best plant centres in the area … but …. it appears to be shutting down 😳😢 I bought so many of my plants from there for my garden three houses ago, I feel quite bereft …. Ho hum. I guess they are retiring and have no one to take it on.

  • So upsetting when the good garden centres go - they have all gone for housing here sadly. Nothing left but big chain.

There are others around, and I don’t use this one as much as I used to (last over there in the spring this year) but it’s like a piece of me is upping and leaving. I can’t begrudge them though. I don’t think it would have sold well as going concern as their house is integrated into the plant centre - basically they made a stunning plant centre out of a big private garden with a Forest stream running down one side of it.
