It’s a nice one. A bit off the beaten track which means that it is quiet, apart from the surfers! There is a good camp site there so there are toilets, outside showers, a good cafe etc. The ecology of the dunes behind the beach is stunning - I found wild harebells growing there one year. Yesterday there was some kind of wild stock that looked adapted to salty air but had that classic stocks scent ❤️ and a lovely vivid pink geranium that might have been wild or a garden escapee but looked stunning against the golden sand 🤩skint_spice said:That beach looks gorgeous, so quiet too, bliss!

I actually slept last night!!! Not 100% - there was a bit of light waking and adjusting of cover and duvet - but didn’t actually have to get up at all last night. Oh it makes *such* a difference!!! 😊❤️🤩
Already warm here but fresher so I have the doors and windows open to get some air circulating before prodding Mr KK to get up so we can go over to Hay on Wye for the day. Then we are not cooking tonight as we are having our posh dinner date! 😊
As a side note - ‘giving up’ being vegan seems to have lifted a huge weight off me. A great slab of guilt for occasionally having milk in things and eating eggs has gone and it is already simplifying meals with mr KK - tomorrow night for example, to save full on cooking in the heat, we will be having mushroom and cheese omelette (he will have some chopped ham in his half), I don’t have to feel guilty about it and not a UPF in sight!And another nice thing - La Belle Floof seems to have gone back to eating. Not a huge amount, which I am putting down to the heat, but regularly. She is probably back up to two pouches a day again 😊

Had a quite a self indulgent day today. We went to Hay on Wye, had a lovely lunch out, we both bought quite a few books and I bought some Violane earrings to go with a pendant I bought there before. Got home early enough to be be able to shower and chill out before going out for a stunning dinner! Finally feeling refreshed and mentally recharged and sustained for the next push at everything 😊

After yesterday’s indulgences we don’t have any major plans for the weekend apart from two tip runs and refuelling my car!Sainsbugs will turn up shortly, I have the first wash in and have dragged out to the garden and given a good scrub to, two big house mats. One thing I must do today is sort my heap of books from yesterday into types and loosely, file accordingly.
