TFC Registered, I had paid ASC already so asked if they woudn't mind a one off refund so I can use my account. No reply as of yet!....In good news, I have a £61 Tax refund on the way, no idea why, but i'll take it!
Nothing much to add, 5 days until payday and being sensible with the spending I called to Ikea last weekend and found a table for £180, decided I would buy it with my bonus in March but I have found one on FBMtktplc for £60 so picking up this weekend instead. Hope everyone is well! XPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -

Morning All, One more day to payday!!
January is a bl00dy long month isn't it!
Can't get onto my payslip at the moment so trying to get my account reset, I have budgeted on my basic but I should have some overtime in there (approx 11hours) so will re-jig the budget when I can.
Picked up the table yesterday, £60 which ate my cash envelopes for Passports, Birthday and Car Maintenance BUT it was something we were purchasing anyway, and we saved £119 so was worth it. I will be restarting the envelopes again this week as its worked well overall, I have plenty of bits to get on FbMarktplce and V1nted at the weekend, so I am hoping to have some sales trickling throughout Feb which really did help us week to week. Food shop for this week collected this morning, £75.00 so within budget I paid on my CC but will clear straight away tomorrow when I have been paid rather than withdrawing. All bills O/S for Jan/Early Feb need to be cleared payday, then 3 weeks of budgets until OH Payday so can't imagine there being a lot to spare.
Good news for the month - Managed to get through 2 birthdays with very little additional spend!! Only one birthday in Feb, my niece who is approx £20 spend....OH gets paid the 15th and has done a month of nights so should have approx an extra £500 in his wage... we have already decided to clear £200 from his CC and £200 from mine (will completely clear both). Envelopes seem to be working, 1 takeaway so far so massive improvement!
Not so great....Wiped out three of my envelopes on an unplanned spend, but it was a good one so not going to kick myself too much..We have 2 months to replace the money so should be manageable.
I am traveling for work today, for the next three days so will have NSD's for at least those days as it goes on the CC so that is something, Take care all!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -
Sounds like your new habits are working. Well done. I think budgeting for me is an indicative guide as to where I might need to spend my £. But there are always things that come up that mean plans need a little tweaking in good or 'bad' ways.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hello penny pinchers!Sorry I have been AWOL work has been absolutely insane the last month or so, I have been doing a lot of working away from home as part of an implementation team. Between that still trying to sort the kids and the house and getting COVID there hasn’t been enough hours in the day.
I hope everyone is well, I’ve decided to get back online tonight as payday is the 25th and (fingers crossed) it should include my bonus. I’ve worked too hard previously to squander it all away and I know that coming on here will keep me focused.
I will post an update over the next day or so as to where I am money wise atm!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221 -
Hi everyone (and anyone) ...
I hope the weather is looking up everywhere, its been beautiful here today and I have been WFH. I haven't managed to sit out but I am a lot happier waking up in the mornings when the sun is shining!!!
Things are good this payday on the money front, I Have repaid £2k back to my parents which had been building up over time, paid my AO Account down apart from anything at 0%. Other than that I have made some extra payments on the CC's and will update all my figures this week.
Its forecast a lovely weekend for mother's day, so a nice walk and picnic is on the cards I think...OH is out with one of his friends tonight so me and the boys will be having a movie night and a treat tea. I need to do a really good food shop this weekend and a clean and de-clutter. I am planning a car boot in the next few weeks so I am going to start making some piles to go towards, will pack all the winter clothes away also I think.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekends!

Good to see you back @Lookafterthepennies2020 it's nice to get a bonus isn't it? I paid off my next account £182. The rest is sitting in my ISA but I'm toying with shoving into PB's as we have plans to use some of it for some house repairs.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1

Fantastic your cards paid off @Naomim !!! I must admit it would have been a lot more satisfying seeing the CC numbers drop 2k but there have been some health issues in the family so felt it was a good time to get a chunk repaid!
I still need to get my head back into the game, Payday on Monday which is always better than the weekendUnfortunately no promotion related pay-rise this month, this should be effective June. However everyone in the company got 3% so i should see a small increase this month.
I have decided to do a car boot next week, I seem to be drownding in clothes, kids toys etc and don't have the time nor patience to sit and Facebook marketplace or any of the other sites as know it can take some time. So i am planning on having a root this weekend and getting some stuff together....anything i think i can get a decent amount for ill pop onto those sites the rest will go to the CB. Wish me luck!
