You're doing really well pennies with finding or making some extra money.
Passports are so expensive. I need to renew 16yo's but trying to get him to get a photo is like trying to pull my own teeth out.😬Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2 -

Hi All,
Had a binge on the Utube last night on the envelope system and think I am going to give this ago...Have worked through the budget and its tight this month, very tight! Me and OH are on £20pw personal spends each for the next month...but we should be able to pay an additional £350 off the CC and have £65 p/w for food shopping and fuel sorted etc.. So we are giving it a go!!
Present bought for OH mums birthday, its a biggie...60th I have ordered a beautiful frame off of Etsy with a personalised name tree which was £23.00 she is getting a bottle of wine to go with it and that will be her sorted...much better than the £60 boots we had originally earmarked so I am pleased we have pulled back
Still no takeaways yet which is an achievement for us! Meatballs for tea tonight, early night for the boys then I am going to get DS2 birthday presents wrapped, he would like to go trampolining after school so I am going to get that booked today. I tried to see if there were any mid week offers, but there doesn't seem to be which is a bit naff!
Hope everyone has the best day they can!

@Naomim I can't believe how expensive it is to renew all of ours in one go, I would like to hold off as long as possible before ordering them to not lose any months with the kids only getting 5years, but we are supposed to be going in May so don't want to leave it too late. xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221

Sounds like a beautiful present and probably much nicer than boots 😁. And well done on the no takeaways.
12yo went trampolining with a couple of friends for her birthday. I took a huge made up squash with me and picnic cups. You can also refill water bottles with tap water for free at the cafe bit usually. Jumping is thirsty work!
£20 a week is manageable. Its roughly what MrM and I have. I used to keep cash envelopes for us but now use my Monzo pots.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again1 -
I cancelled my YNAB last night @naomim and have ordered the cash envelopes binders instead. I am calling it a re-investment
Jumping is thirsty work, we are taking large sports bottles with us in my bag and then having and pizza and chips when home. When we went last time I considered ordering there pizza but it was £5 and someone walked past me with the box and it was a Te$co 88p one

It's shocking but I guess it's how these places actually make their money. We were lucky, we booked an hour and no-one told the kids to leave after so they ended up jumping for 2.5 hours and I sat reading my book. I took them to McD's after. Cheap and cheeful! 😁

Ooooh i am sooo pleased with myself today….😇😇 DS2 had a lovely birthday, started off with £8 for treats for school me and OH we’re considering a coffee together as we haven’t done anything like that in a while but settled on a can of pop each instead.
I left booking trampolining until today so went online and it’s was £40, I was sure I had seen something about mid-week offers so after a quick google we drove to one around 20 mins away ..it was worth it!!! £28 for all four of us, including a small pizza chips and a drink each!!! A £12 saving, and the food still tucked away in the freezer for another day! (We did use one when we got home as OH was still hungry 😂).
Still not a peep on prol1fic but £10 was paid into my account for the top I paid, gone onto CC and I have had a £250 increase on one of my larger CCs… so utilisation will go down 😁 I have a budget set for the next 2 weeks which is strict lol it includes £150 debt overpayment and £40 into the start of our EF, a tight £63 a week food shop and £15pw for me and OH. We will be budgeting bi-weekly, but will envelope weekly for groceries and fuel and things.Hope everyone has had an amazing day!!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -
