SO SquatNow actually knows naff all about the housing market and his user name is more to do with bodybuilding than housing tenure.

I have no idea what that site is and can't have a look at the mo because my works internet content filter blocks it.

My actual site is http://www.squatnow.com

Congratulations to the OP on selling... you got lucky.

Can you give me the buyers details as I have found out about some money they have inherited and need to arrange transfer to them. They will just need to send me £10,000 to cover the transfer and legal expenses.
Yet it is interesting to know Squatnow started his career at the HPC forum (naturally), under the name casa the anarchist, where he finishes this discussion by inciting a serious criminal act:
http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=49031
Or this discussion where he suggests tenants ruin their credit rating and get a court judgement by not paying rent:
http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic

The post you refer to as "inciting a serious criminal act" was clearly said in jest... anyone who reads the who thread can see that. In fact I made an excelent point in the thread regarding landlords trying to eveict squatters... if the BTL had been empty for some time the landlord is going to be hard pressed to get the Squatters evicted as under UK law he has to show he has a better claim for use of the property than them. Owning it is not a claim. He'd need to have an immediate need to moving into it himself or tennants signed up and waiting in temporary accomodation. (Good luck getting a tennant when you can't show them round!)

As for the second Thread you link to a rent strike is NOT a new idea. It's been banded about for a while. If eveyone in the country simply refused to pay their rent, do you think the courts would be able to evict all of them in a month or two...? It would take years. incidently, not paying rent shouldn't effect your credit rating unless you have expressly signed a credit agreement in relation to rent... few landlords offer rental properties on a credit basis!

Ironically my account was deleted from the HPC servers by A HACKER!

That's why there are random posts lying around which arn't linked to a user any more... the user was deleted from the database table manually rather than using the forum tools.

Your accounts get deleted, or, more often, your password and email address get changed (making it impossible to reset your password) if you blame anything other than immigrants or the banking system.

As soon as you mention Land Speculation your account is toast.

Go ahead and try it.. you'll see.
That would be me. If somerone comes on a forum where vulnerable people are asking for help, and starts abusing them and laughing at their misfortune, then he is fair game.

"laughing at their misfortune"? Examples please?

I don't laugh at peoples misfortune, but I do point out moral or legal issues with what they have done or intend to do. Like the lady who lied to her creditors, telling them she was broke and bargained them down to agreeing a full and final payment of 50% of the outstanding balance, despite have more than enough money to pay them...

Or the recent one with the woman who went bankrupt owing £34,000 despite having a job and virtually no outgoings. She basically lied to the judge, cried a lot and convinced the judge that she would never be able to pay the money back.. She could have, she just didn't want to. Everyone was congrutating her on being debt free and it was up to me and a couple of other posters to point out that A) She COULD have paid and B) everyone else will have to pay more to make up for her bankrupcy.

Or how about people who are looking for loopholes to allow them to defray the honest taxpayer? Like complicated scemes to buy properties through friends or family under the RTB sceme. Seems only fair you make the moral implications of their actions clear to them. And everyone else who is rambling on about how a good idea it is.
Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.

Are you argueing that the UK ISN'T fast becoming an unbearable hellhole for it's indiginous population?

High Crime
High UnEmployment
High House Prices
High Taxes Prices
High Inflation
Wage Deflation

What have I missed?

Incidently, can I just add for the original OP that I've never criticised your desire to go to Canada. (I've was thinking about NZ for a while...) I think the limits of our discussion on this topic was my advice to you that if you want to be SURE of selling your house quickly you'de need to drop the price. You were lucky in this case, it sold anyway, but the only way to be sure would have been to begin dropping the price. You were lucky and it sold quickly. On the other hand, it might have still been on the market in February. Some call us doom mongers. In 5 years people will were refer to us as "inciteful" and claim they too were saying prices would drop all along. Hindsight is fantastic.

so let me see then

britain crime free( you could send your granny out in the dark in any town in the UK and she would be perfectly safe, no drunks ,she would hear no foul language, louts, rubbish, blobs of puke etc etc etc)
no chavs
no immigrants ( of the illegal type)
no rip offs eg shabby 5 star hotels
excellent service wherever you go
wonderful taxation system eg inheritnce tax, stamp duty etc etc
first rate NHS
stress free property sale/purchase system
real quality to be found in goods and services
a " first world" country in every sense

If all of the above rings true for the majority of Britains then you are correct I am a doom and gloom merchant and will hang me head in shame:rolleyes:

My point was you accused folk of spouting doom and gloom, and then went on to do it yourself. Its all opinion at the end of the day, the UK is no better or worse than other developed countries.
• I respect your view however

I believe you would find most intelligent people who have actually lived and worked in other Countries particualrly Canada would agree with my views.

In fact you would be hard pushed to find anyone with a couple of brain cells who would agree with my tongue in cheek positives about britain two posts above?

or do you really see an excellent NHS, little crime, safe streets, fair taxation, no yob culture etc etc etc the list is endless

do you think this country is the best on earth are you proud to be british when you travel?

food for thought

Grow up and take your subscription to the Daily Mail with you. Britain is still a great country and actually will be better off without the moans and whines of people like yourself.

Enjoy Canada, I will continue to enjoy all the great that Britain has to offer.
