I keep wanting to reduce my stocks, I have far too many, however when I want to buy pasta for example, and I see it on offer, I dont ever just buy one. So the stocks keep growing, then I think about the news and the fact that groceries are just going up in price and again it dissuades me from using up my supplies as I then start thinking about how much more they will cost in the future.

It not always easy finding that balance between stocking up and using up @JIL I once had about 4 types of flour in the cupboard: had to bin them all due to expiry and getting those little bugs in them. As long as you know you will use it before you have to bin it, then having a buffer of food in the cupboard and freezer for the leaner months is ok i think.
Ps. I now only have 2 kinds of flour in cupboard! It's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.2 -
