In: hm cottage pie, 2 hm beef burgers, 2 hm small veg quiche, later (in the morning) hm slow cooker oxtail stew.
Fenugreek seeds, sunflower oil, wholegrain mustard.
Out: ingredients for above dishes including the frozen onions, celery and carrots i done. In future i am going to pre-mix the mirapoix i think. 2 pork chops for imprompto bbq last night. Flour, fenugreek etc for bread.
The fenugreek has become my goto flavour when doing bread.
I got some alluminium pie tins for the quiche, makes it a bit easier to make ahead and freeze. I got enough pastry from one ready rolled (stretched) for 2 tins!
It open farm sunday this weekend, so have been researching prices for meat, especially lamb, 2 of the farms sell to the public, so hoping to support a local supplier in future instead of the big chains.It's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.1 -
