Just writing to +1 on @swipe's post here. Ignore anything else. Please call your supplier and give the info he gave. They'll sort itPatB said:Hi all
I have no way of changing the screen. There is a button on the meter but this appears to do nothing. So the pictures we sent is all we can access on the monitor
Anything else will just cause more problems. 2 -

A smart meter only gives total kWh's for the electric so I would assume there is something wrong with the meter if the usage as increased that much in such a short time. There doesn't look like there is a decimal point in the figures and it's the same type of meter that I have, a Landid+Gyr E470. so as I said the meter only gives full kWh as a reading.Swipe said:
Oh dear. You should have omitted the decimal places. I'm surprised it was even accepted by Green Energy.PatB said:Hi
we have currently submitted a reading September 2021 just prior to
green energy going bust. The figure we were billed on at the time was 18923.000Hi,if you look very close you will see decimal point after 93 use Ctrl+ to expand photie, count the clicks, then Ctrl- to reset.

Looking at the photos, either the meter is very badly scratched or there is a protective film of cellophane over the display. If it is the latter then that should probably have been removed once the meter was in place and removing it now would make the meter a lot easier to read and photograph.Reed1

Press the A & B buttons together for a short period this is how I got mine to read more than the total import readingsPatB said:Hi all

Yes I finally got the decimal point but I had to expand the screen quite a lot before it barely became noticeable to me[Deleted User] said:wild666 said:

Easier to use Ctrl0 to reset to normal size.[Deleted User] said:wild666 said:

You need to be careful because you may end up being charged for the free electricity if you change supplier, as other posters have reported. The free electricity was recorded on a different register so you need to quote the single rate register (or the E7 registers if applicable) if you send manual meter readings. Someone will be able to tell you how to scroll through the registers on this type of meter.wild666 said:
No matter how hard I look at my meter it only says the total import, ACT 1 & ACT 2 imports, because I was on BG free electric when I had the meter installedcomeandgo said:
Look closely at the meter, you see the wee dot before the last three digits, you ignore whats after the dot when giving a reading, did you not do maths at school? Your one day use is normal for winter.PatB said:Hi all
thanks for your comments. I will dig out figures for pre-September but we stayed consistent with previous owners methods of reading. So I am guessing we have read it wrong but how do we now correct this so that I don’t end up with a ridiculous bill
this also doesn’t explain the increase in reading in just one day.Sorry all, you can probably tell… I’m not that clued up with all of this0 -
Thank you all for your comments. I also feel there is a fault with the meter and will be saying this to our energy supplier tomorrow. I appreciate all comments and advice for this issues

When I left BG for OFTM I didn't know there was two separate readings and got a bill for nearly £300 for the first month. It took me 7 months to get a correct bill but they increased my DD by £20 when the whole of the 7 months usage on the ACT 2 reading was only around £13. When I changed to Bulb I gave them the readings and it took me another 3 months to sort it out and they added another box for me to input the act 2 reading around 7 kWh per month. The meter stopped reading the ACT 2 part in Sept.2019.Gerry1 said:

I always scroll through on this meter due to that free BG tariff (which they didn't inform us of for a while)wild666 said:

If supplier requests a single rate then I go for R1, and if it's different from the total and there is a R2, then I tell the customer that they need to scroll to R1 if they ever give readings.
It's only on this meter that they did the free tariff
And I have never seen one wit the 3 digits after the decimal , yet0
