Hi all
ASB my Mum has a pair of truly hideous candlesticks in her china cabinet that will be mine one day. And I am not allowed to shove them in a box and pack them away apparently. You will hopefully have to wait a while but I might just donate them to you one day
We had to give in and put the heating on this afternoon, I am wearing two thermals, a thick jumper and fleece and couldnt get warm. Toasty in front of the fire now though.
Stripped DS2s bed and put his bedding in the WM, put clean washing away, DH has hoovered and cleaned the kitchen. 7.5 hours paid stuff done so I can finish a bit early tomorrow, still struggling to get back into the paid stuff.

Evening all.
Today I have
- submitted the Gift Aid claim
- spent at least 2 hours trying to sort out some fees which were overpaid/underpaid/not paid at all, and sent an email to the Vicar about that. to which I have already received a reply - this must be a record!
- taken down cards, holly and other bits (but not the tree, yet)
- sorted some decorations to go in the Donate box
- made soup for lunch
- taken Rosie for her walk and got absolutely frozen
- thawed out with a blanket, a cuppa and a few zzz
- cooked tea
- made only one phonecall so far (but the rest depend on the response to that one).
Thank you asb and HB for asking about my DH. He is OK at the moment, being sensible about where he goes and what he does (except for not getting the amount of exercise he should). He went for his pre-op test repeats yesterday, and unfortunately today he had a phonecall from the horse piddle to say that they didn't get enough blood to carry out one of the tests, so he has to go back next week for them to squeeze more blood out of him. He also had a phonecall this evening from the volunteer coordinator on our local heritage railway, offering him some work in the offices, which he is capable of doing, even with his bad hip - though he does want to go back to ticket inspecting once he's got his new hip. It's certainly cheered him up a lot!
Off to watch what's left of Dragons Den8 -
Lots ticked off
spoke to both solicitors and have agreed a plan for the documents, I also got the answers necessary to submit the seller forms.
I have also compiled a package to post to the house solicitor.
I have received more work emails
2 large charity bags collected, I got DS1 to sort his wardrobe during his stay.
Dropped off 3 hard drives for destruction

Watched the funerals of my aunt and her son, my cousin, online. Sis went and managed tpo [ick a seat which meant I watches her every move...rather sad that I didn't get to see my cousins but thought, with cases going through the roof and my recent pneumonia episode putting myself first made sense. Sis had Covid just before xmas with no issues but if I can avoid it. Joint funeral btw
Decs down and away.

Paid stuff today - the children were very well behaved 😁 Even the screamer was happy! (most of the time! 🤣)
Spoke to guy that owns the garage opposite & asked him to keep an eye out for a car for DS for him to use until he can order a new one (then DH will have it). Apparently they are very hard to come by!
Flying wise - I put on the DW & did 1 load of washing (washed, dried & folded).
After work I finished the online part of my 1st aid course. I nodded off for a bit & had to re-do head injuries! 🤦♀️😂 The face-to-face part is Saturday - hopefully I will stay awake for that!
This evening I cleared some emails & did some knitting....
Night night all!9 -
Glad you got to watch and be there in spirit Valli.
I have major fidget problems.. I need to finish writing about my weirdness but I have too much fidget going on.. I can't even think my brain is full of crazy chipmunks.

I'm way behind. But this week, in no particular order I have:
- caught up with writing all reports and sent them off. Phew.
- started going through the preparatory paperwork I've been given for assessments starting with next week; booked up to March 2nd so far. My aim for the next few days is to get all the forms labelled and organised (10 forms per student; 13 students booked!) well in advance. If I do this asap, it will also serve as stock-taking as I am bound to run out of test forms and need to order more.
- house is de-Christmassed. I can't take too much praise for that as Mr N did a lot of it, plus hoovering up all the glitter, while I have been working. Amazingly the star door wreath/arrangement lasted until today.
- went for a run yesterday as I'd missed a few weeks.
- am joining many of you in my quest to delete old emails. Have listed how many I have in the sent, inbox (personal), inbox (business) and webmail (business) eek indeed. I don't know what a reasonable number is to get down to, far fewer than I have, that's for sure.
- various bits of flying have been done, shopping, washing, cooking as required.
- gradual decluttering is going on. I'm particularly keen to get my study in order ready for the onslaught of work otherwise I will get in a state.
- constantly filling up bird feeders.
- pond now properly in place on new patio. Still more pots and plants to be placed but since all the rain we have had the freeze.
- bills up to date although I need to check a tax message.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
