Morning.
I didn't get as much done last night as I would have liked, but we had a very long video chat to friends in UK which was lovely.
Bed made, clothes picked up and windows have been open for a bit. Closed again as it's damp
DW sorted and on
I need to tidy round the kitchen and check banking and update saving and spending spreadsheets.
Estate agents visiting today, one in the morning and one this afternoon, that will be interesting.
Better get going and wash up whilst the kettle boils

Morning all.
(((Hugs))) and clean hankies to all going back to work this week.
Dizzy, please take care of yourself. Lack of sleep (for myself or others) always concerns me because it can lead to accidents.
Pigpen, I hope you are feeling better this morning.
Good luck with the estate agents, Mademoiselle.
Keep warm, asb - even if it means making phonecalls from your bed (but not video calls!)
Having done well with Flying* and other work yesterday morning, I crashed after lunch and never really recovered my momentum. The only thing I achieved was to knit the mittens for the prem baby set from that odd ball of wool. I should have enough in all the loose ends for sewing up, leaving just a couple of metres to declutter. It's been a fun little project - timewasting maybe, but it's also meant that I have done something useful instead of just sitting. However, the sewing up will have to wait for a couple of days...
*My 'WM x2' turned into WMx5, after DH cleared his linen basket and the pile of clothes on his chair!
This morning I need to finish the R&P accounts and treasurer's report, as we have a Standing Committee meeting this evening. Fortunately the house is clean and tidy (apart from my knitting on the coffee table, which will take all of 2 minutes to put out of sight), DH will spend the day in his man cave (which is a tip, but that's his problem), and we are still eating out of the fridge and freezer. I must find some sausages for a casserole tonight, but I will have to cook it on the hob as the ceramic pot in my SC cracked last time I use it and the whole thing needs replacing - that will be DSis-in-law's Christmas gift to us, then!
Hope everyone has a good day. Help yourself to spoons and sticks, as needed xxx10 -
Morning all,
I finally have my first cuppa, but I am up, showered, hair washed, dressed. Bedding stripped and in the wm, dry towels folded. I can’t dry my hair yet, as “somebody” has borrowed my hair dryer…
I need to remake the bed, run round with the vacuum cleaner and at minimum s&s the bathrooms. This probably is not all going to happen.
Off at lunchtime to the big city for a hospital appointment with DD. DH has taken the day off work to drive us as there will be no parking, and that is too stressful.Good luck with the estate agents, Mademoiselle.
Keep warm, ASB and any others with white stuff. We have rain which is threatening to turn to sleet. This and other white stuff I can do without.
Have a good day all xx8 -
ASB.. you may keep it.. it is nasty stuff!
Iona.. I think I may need to sort my diet out again, I have lived on junk food the last few weeks and my tummy is crying for veggies!! I will get out the SC and see what occurs!
5 things listed to sell today and lots lots more to list this afternoon.I have 1 item to post asap because the silly woman had only put half her address on (no street or county).. easy enough to find out the rest but why would you do that?
I have 2 bags to take to DD1 and a large N£xt return and some stuff to collect.
I have 2 large bags to fling in the clothes recycling and a car full of tip waste.. I might see what the opening times are and we can check out the queue on the way back from DD1's.. it might be ok..
I need to sort the girls school stuff for tomorrow and dance/theatre/swimming for Saturday and 2 days of pack ups.. they stay hot dinners in Fridays because it is fish and chip day.
We will de-christmas the house tomorrow or Thursday I think.. today is the first day we got up an didn't turn the lights on straight away.. a sure sign we are past it..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Feeling exhausted, agents have been, house has been measured and scrutinised. Feeling a bit emotional, but I guess that is because we have lived here for 19 years which has seen kids go through, infant, primary, secondary and further education and now into professional life. It's also facing up to the reality that our life is going to change, OH is stopping the job here in the spring and we don't have a plan from then on. This is what we've been working towards for some time, and what we both want and are very lucky to be in a financial situation to do so. I'm very lucky that if I do decide we need to earn a bit of extra spending money I can pick up work most times of the year quite easily.
Enough waffling on, better sort out some flying
DW unloaded
WULTD
WM now in TD (it's raining again)
Post dealt with
Time to make tea and see what's in the freezer I can use for dinner, risotto with a piece of salmon (split between us as there is only one) I think.

Laptop playing up, it seems the pressure pad doesn't want to work, so in the car booting stuff I have found an old mouse with the right connection, so that is a start, but I haven't used a mouse for ages. I'm off to the teckkie board to see if they can kindly advise me on how to get the pressure pad to work.Loads of boring stuff doneIroning doneCooking started for tonightVery small food shop done, I was totally shocked at the amount of ££ I spent in Dec on food. There is loads of food in freezer and cupboards so we will be eating out way slowly through that.I checked what I spent in Dec, but cannot find a petrol receipt, I am sure I did fill up once, was going to check bank statement as I would have used my card, but that is when the pressure pad failed.!1st gift has been brought in:) by cat 2, a very large crow's wing and rib bones attached to it!!, he was very proud of himself.Hugs all round, it is very cold here, take careBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Many things listed to sell and one gone already.. FLING!! I added an extra £1 to most prices so I could accept a slightly lower price and let people think they had a bargain..
So I need to package that up.
OH asked to do dinner so now he is being a moron.. weaponised incompetence!!!! I don't fall for that any more!
I have a few more bits to list before calling it a day.
Chicken out for dinner tomorrow.. thinking of throwing in a casserole to poison people with veg.
tip run done.. FLING!!!! and dropped 2 bags at DD1's ... FLING!!! and collected 2 bags... UNFLING!!!!
Waiting to hear if school is even open tomorrow before sorting school stuff (REALLY hoping it is not.)

Mademoiselle its emotional stuff, I cried my eyes out when we moved here. Be kind to yourself.
Hope the hospital appointment went OK Fayolle. DS has to go for tests next week, he hasnt decided yet whether he wants me to go with him, I am keeping the day clear anyway.
7.5 hours done at the paid stuff, and a brisk lunchtime walk. It is bitterly cold. I am trying to do a challenge where I beat last years monthly total for outside exercise so want to try and get over 13 hours in this month.
DH has washed our sheets but the bed is still to make up. I am cold and dont want to leave the fire. I have been without thyroid meds for nearly a week which is my own fault so that probably isnt helping. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit easier at the paid stuff.10 -
Back to school tomorrow (sad face) but at least the flat looks OK, thanks to the list!

I managed to get the R&P file sorted and my report written in time for this evening's meeting, which went well. Very pleased.
Rosie had her walk after lunch, while the sun was still shining. This evening I have sewn up the baby knitting. It has sleeted enough to cover my car but not the grass.
Tomorrow DH has to go to the horse piddle for his pre-op, so that's my day sorted! Hopefully I'll have time to clear my desk before he's ready to leave (he doesn't have a fixed appointment time).
G'night all xxx
