Morning everyone, I'm back after a lovely break away at the other house, and visiting friends. Time spent with both DDs which was lovely. It's not a bank holiday here today so it's back to earth with a bump. But it'll be fine. Be positive is my 2022 motto.
Up (6.30 alarm was difficult), showered & dressed
Windows have been open for 30 minutes
Bed made, clothes picked up
DW sorted & bits WU
WM on
Bags from holiday unpacked and ALL put away
Today I need to do some admin, menu plan, any ideas? I have potatoes, carrots, apples, mini tomatoes, onions, cheese and a 3 eggs. And do something, anything towards selling this house. (sorting, cleaning, repairing etc).
First some breakfast and coffee
Have a great day everyone.10 -
Quiche?

Morning all
Up and dressed relatively early, but a 6.30am alarm sounds like something I can do without.
Yum - tarte tatin - a savoury one is pretty good too - onions and apples.
Having the important first cuppa, then preparing myself for the optician’s trip with DD. There will be a HHI to do when I get back and a load of towels for the wm.9 -
Morning all
Bright and breezy out so I am washing doggie blankets and throws, which we seem to have a lot of. They will get a quick wash and blow on the line to freshen them up.
All unopened Christmas chocolate gathered up and put into a storage box on top of the wardrobe. Recycling organised, could do with a trip to the tip with cardboard etc. No idea where I am going to rehome the gin and port we got, but will find a spot for it somewhere.
DH is feeling a bit ropy after probably overdoing it yesterday so a quiet day is in order pottering about de-Christmasing the house, flying, and getting ready for back to the paid stuff tomorrow. Oh yes a meal plan to do as well and I need to work out what food we need before the next supermarket delivery.9 -
Morning all.
I'm up, washed, dressed and I've walked the dogs round the village. It's very windy so we avoided areas with trees.
Just having breakfast, will wash up, put recycling out, then that's all the dailies done.
DH is wfh so I'll quietly get on with my knitting.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Thanks for the meal suggestions, it's definitely some sort of potato and onion with cheese dish. But I'm feeling inspired to do a shallot tatin in the near future. I have made one before and remember it being very yummy, might try individual ones so I can freeze some.
Christmas decorations all down and away.
Spending and saving spreadsheets updated.
Next is WM into TD then another load, then coffee and crochet and sort lunch as OH is coming home.10 -
Bed stripped, remade, with the help of OH turn the mattress as well, goodness knows when we last turned it, with him being ill, and I am unable to do it on my own.Washing out on whirly, blowing well in this wind.Cat1's cat flap training is not going well, he just does not seem to have the strength of push it open, he is only a small light weight cat about 2kgs if that. But he has been out with me in the garden and managed to get into the field! which then involved me climbing over the fence to get him back.Other boring stuff done.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all. Hope everyone is OK. Gentle (((hugs))) to all who are still feeling fragile, for whatever reason.
My plan for today:
- check my Toots list ✅ - I found that I had actually completed some things without crossing them off, and I've added a couple more items
- FUPA one item of clean clothing which had been abandoned on the bathroom radiator ✅
- strip my bed ✅
- mend the curtain rail in my bedroom - the cover piece that is designed to hide the join between the two lengths of track has been sliding, and the plastic runners have been jamming in the resulting crack between the two tracks. A bit of hot glue should sort it! ✅ - it was just a 2-minute job, once I had carried the little stepladder and glue gun upstairs - another thing crossed off my Toots list
- get cooked turkey slices out of the freezer for tonight's risotto ✅
- WMx2 or 3 - first load (my bedding) is nearly ready to hang out, provided that the rain stops, which is now looking highly unlikely, so it will most likely end up in the TD
- clean ensuite thoroughly
- start church finance end-of-year admin
- make a Gift Aid claim
- make 3 phonecalls
- send 4 emails and one card with belated Christmas/New Year greetings (the card is going to France, so I've got until the end of January to send that one)
- bread and cheese for lunch
- Rosie's walk
- use up the rest of the baby wool to make mittens to match the jacket and bootees, whilst watching TV this evening
Spoons in the jar and sticks on the grass - please help yourselves as needed xx10
