I'm sorry to hear about big cat not feeling well. Poor little thing.
I have heard that cruises mysteriously shrink clothes!3 -
Oops it’s been ages again, its good sign the finances are not doing well!Hi KP, big cat is doing much better now thanks, went back to the vet (yet again) and got another 8 days of medication which is working 🙂 am still branching everything and they are confined to the living room until it’s finished just incase. It’s been a busy week, went to a ‘cat cafe’ in Marylebone last Monday with a friend, then took out the wife of a very old friend of dh on Wednesday which eneded up taking most of the day, have taken mum out and met with a couple of friends too 😬
Out again this morning with best friend and then have my Aunt over as she’s going to trim my hair (not a hairdresser but is crafty which is close enough 😂) I only want a straight line as I’m growing it! Have dyed it yesterday, but am only using semi permanent now as it’s better for you, it may cost more as it fades much quicker though. I’m trying to be a bit more thoughtful about toiletries and have recently switched to shampoo bars and old fashioned soap, not so keen on the soap but the shampoo soap I prefer, weirdly I can go longer not washing my hair.Checked the finances last night and the thread that I was hanging from is now almost snapping 😩 I CAN make the planned mortgage op still this month, I have not borrowed from the cruise pot that’s need to pay the balance in July, however I have taken back an extra £57 earmarked for ops this month and used a bit of my very sparse personal budget and still have a black hole i need to fill of £143. I think I’ll just leave that as a debt on the current account for the moment and chip away at it! its not great timing as I need to buy a bit of food before we go away on Sunday (will leave the grocery cc that they can use from the 3rd may) plus we are away for the first time ever with zero spending money 😱
The parking is paid for food included and we bought the Wi-Fi and drinks package, dh is covering a couple of meals booked that require a supplement and no doubt he will have a little bit of money with him.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Not much to report, it’s step dgd’s 16th today, her afternoon tea is sunday so I can’t make it unfortunately 😩 am seeing dd today as she’s off, she did suggest the local posh cafe but I’m going to take her to the one over the road which cheaper and has some random unintentionally amusing homemade art on the walls 😂
Went to see the new Evil Dead film last night, very bloody! I also took my brother who doesn’t have a pass and doesn’t mind paying and it was over £20 including a fairly small popcorn and drink 😱 free for us and took a cup of tea. Have told him we have to go on free ticket day next time as it upsets me 😁
Not sure how I’m going to fill this financial hole yet, maybe I will sell some bits when I get back from holiday, there’s not really anywhere left to trim from. I’d love to cut the living allowance from £500 to £450 pm as that would get us to the month of my 50th March 2025 which would cut 3 months of the 33 months challenge altogether, I cant see it happening mind or the 33 months if I’m honest, but it’s worth a try!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -

£20 for a movie! I haven't been to the cinema for a long time but this seems like a lot!
Not sure I can suggest anything re cutting living allowance, but you do make things happen when you put your mind to it!2 -
Oh dear I didn’t post what I wrote out a few days ago. We are on cruise now, dh has come down with a cold which is not great timing. I think we may be the only British people on here it’s all Americans, but way less crowed than last year so much nicer.Getting off on Portland and going to Weymouth on the shuttle bus today , don’t think I’ve been there since the kids were little. It is funny hearing all the Americans saying how freezing it is here, it’s what seems like a fairly pleasant day 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

I hope you're having fun! Also hope the cold isn't too bad2

Sorry to hear about DHs cold, hope he feels better soon. How far does the cruise go? And what do you think of the ship?1
