    Thanks MMP 😊

I took mum out for coffee in the morning yesterday and then did some washing and then dd came over after work for dinner and a trip to see The little Mermaid, her first favourite film a little girl which we both loved! No money spent as I used the pass and meerkat code.
Tonight I’m supposed to be at a gig with ds2 and wife in north London as they bought me a ticket for my birthday, it’s a band that’s not really well known but I’ve been listening to non stop for about three years in the car (literally the only cd’s I have in there 😆) and although ds1 has seen them 25 times I never have. It’s a strike day and it looks like the tube will be ok but dd is saying don’t do it, it will be a nightmare and she’s been told to work from home as the knock on effect is so bad, I think I’ll leave it up to ds2 to work out, fingers crossed!

Spent £14 yesterday in primark on a white shirt, probably seems wasteful at the moment but I’ve been searching for a white shirt for weeks for my capsule wardrobe and know exactly the type of style and fabric I want, I’ve looked in much dearer places and has no luck (not owning an iron means I have to be careful 😆) and I found the perfect one yesterday so I had to get it 😬

Where have a been, I thought it had been a couple of days not nearly a week!

The gig was amazing last week 😊 spent £9.20 on the tube and £10.80 for a can of beer and a coke for me and dil 😱 both sons had free water (it’s left out on the bar at Camden roundhouse) and declined me buying them drinks 😂 fully fledged cheapskates!

Then i went for a curry Friday for friends birthday at a bring your own drink restaurant, fantastic food but dearer than usual, I spent £32. Seen dd lots as her hubby was away for stag do this weekend and is at a festival lasted this week, ds1 is away is Disneyland Paris with girlfriend and said dd can stay over in his room if i clean it first - he was already away so I had to “shudder” she had been use it after all that effort 😆

Yesterday we went to the local big bootsale, I spent money I don’t have on stuff I don’t need, three patchwork throws , handmade at £3 each and two homemade crochet small blankets £5 each one with a cat on and one with a snowman 😆 the lady selling said her granny makes them. On the plus side I found £20 on the floor 😬 as it was windy and there are thousands there I couldn’t have found the owner so am putting it aside to save towards a little cash gift for DGD to take to Japan when she goes with dd after her exams have finished.

Cc spending so far since 2nd June : £148.78 / £450 all food except £32 for the curry Friday which I may try and not pay back, will see how we do as the month goes on. £10 bonus from the nationwide as well I’ll put in the save for Norway pot which has £0 in it 😱

Speedy week this week too as I’m taking mum out for coffee this morning, best friend this afternoon and for the second time ever taking out the word of dhs friend who has mobility issues and doesn’t drive tomorrow shopping (so probably lunch and Coffee) as well as Aunt coming over for pizza around mums tomorrow night and meeting the girls for a curry Wednesday who I haven’t seen for months and going out for breakfast with best friend Friday  🙄 that will clear out the personal spending for the month 😩 it’s just all come at once I think, I’m never this busy!

I shall post photos of my bootsale handmade bits later 😬

I have a very happy Son today after they won the final in Prague last night, I’ve had some brilliant photos sent through, pure joy 😊

More drama yesterday as dil had her dads dog over for a sleepover (she comes for the odd one and stays in their room as they miss each other but she can’t go near the cats) she went in the garden first thing as she usual does but got out and ended up in next doors garden, they were out but dil managed to lean over and get her back but there was pipes of position down everywhere😱 she was fine, but had to be rushed to the vets to be made sick, poor thing has just recovered from her cancer op last week too ☹️

Presumably the poison was down to kill the squirrel even though we don't feed her 😡 Then we had the pleasure of listening to her druggy son and his friends in the garden in the afternoon smoking weed and talking about the violet things they have done to their exes! I’ve had enough 🙄 winter is ok, but summer is spoilt by him out there.

We have a rented property next to us and the previous tenants smoked weed too.   We couldn't have the windows open at all and my young children at the time knew what the smell was and can identify it straight away.  We have a lovely man there now, but the landlord is selling so who knows who will appear next

Now what I should be doing is rummaging the cupboards and making / baking stuff, meal planning etc. but what I want to do is sit in the garden reading and drinking coffee all day 😆
I focus on doing as much of this as possible on warm sunny weekend days. Love my downtime in the garden and it definitely sets me up for the week again. Enjoy your relaxing time.

Thanks Cath, hope you are well 😊

Busy week so far, taking 2 aunts out, one to the cinema to see The little mermaid (again) as she didn’t want to go alone and her miserable husband won’t go anywhere 😆 then taking out one armed best friend still in a sling, as well as a dr’s appointment where I thought I would be asking for HRT and instead I’m going for tests to see why I keep having the odd bout of sickness, not great when you are a worrier and have to wait weeks for blood tests 😩 oh well!

Lovely dh has given me a little extra money as it’s dds 1st anniversary and I wanted to give them £25 like her brother and dil had, plus I wanted to give £50 to DGD to take to Japan as a well done for working hard in her exams when she really has, I did have it put by but overspent so it disappeared! He’s also paid for the canvas I had made for my dad on fathers day , which is lots of photos of them in Prague the other day at the ground celebrating when West Ham won, really lovely pics of my dad and brother and ds1, doubt he will be allowed to hang it up in the house, he can stand it up somewhere in his study 😂

So it means there’s a possibility I can scrape through another month on the challenge, I asked dh last night if I should loosen the reins as it’s getting really hard now, I’ve no fall back misc. pot to dip into and things keep cropping up, he said no keep going, that’s back to front for us so he must be getting more into this being mf after 13 years 😂

Today I, taking one armed best friend shopping , then getting dd and taking her to see the theatre event of fleabag at the cinema tonight, she couldnt get tickets at the time as they were like gold dust, so looking forward to that but need to pay a surplus for me on top of the pass of about £10 and her ticket is £20 but she will pay that u less I insist, which I probably shouldn’t this month 😆
