Thanks Daisy 😊
Its so exciting, I’ve just requested a Superking sized IKEA bed frame on the local Facebook gifting site, the guy is even dropping it off (DIL is here as well , as I’m cautious 😆) after this was arranged I saw it said it has no drawers, not sure if this means they are missing or it’s not supposed to have them! They can’t be bought separately so I’ve no idea if it’s any good. Will need to buy a new mattress and headboard too so will store it until I’ve some money, but it’s one I was looking a the other day 😬
Checked over the finances last night and I’ve emptied basically all little pots left including some of my personal money 😩 grocery cc is up to the £500 limit too now. I can make the mortgage ops so although it’s annoying it’s still ticking over. I’ve also held onto the regular saver with has £600 in from jan/feb, nothing will go in this month though and I’ve got £75 still from the £25 pm premium bonds this year.Food wise it will be tricky as I’ll have to pay from my personal spending money, I don’t want to be doing that as it’s for me 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -
Well the lovely man dropped the bed off, I think it isn’t supposed to have drawers but it’s in pieces so hard to tell! Gave him a bottle of wine to say thanks, it was very kind to gift it and drop it off 🙂
Sorted a few items of clothing to go to the charity shop, trying to not let things get out of hand as I do love keeping hold of clothes just incase, this is good for lots of things like smart stuff and summer clothes as you don’t wear them as much, but I end up with too much shabby old stuff 😆
Tomorrow I’ve been asked out for breakfast, lunch and dinner 😱 breakfast with best friend and Thai returning friend (local very cheap cafe) , lunch with mum and aunt (expensive garden centre) and dinner with three girlfriends at the local curry house for banqueting night (average priced, amazing food and I missed the last two visits this year as I was I’ll so have not been out since December.)
It’s a months worth of entertainment in a day 😂 will probably skip lunch though and maybe go along for a cup of tea. It’s not going to help stretch my money this month….

I saw next door (with the dodgy son) yesterday and she has asked us to stop feeding the squirrel, it’s digging up her pots in her garden ☹️ I was a bit thrown but said that’s fair enough although dil will be really upset as she’s very fond of her. If we don’t then she will report it to the council or put down poison 😡
I guess it’s annoying, but not as annoying as me living next door to her pot smoking son who lives in the garden and she has to get the police out to sometimes when he kicks off 😩 Oh well, no choice but to stop if she’s going to put poison down! Obviously I’ve been on rightmove as I don’t want to live next door to her now, totally not overreacting 😂

What a shame. I can almost understand them asking you to stop feeding the squirrel but threatening to put down poison is just horrible!1

I doubt she would actually put poison down (I know you can't take that risk) but it sounds like it might actually take some effort to do that & griping is much easier.

Actually mds’s she said she thought she should bring it up to me so I said well I tend to let things slide, she said she knows her son can be an issue so I said well we do have to have the windows and doors shut due to the smell. She said she had called the police on him that morning and there was nothing more she can do, he may kill himself so she has to support him- he has some very dodgy looking mates and ds2 once overheard her discussing that they really shouldn’t carry a knife 😱
The irony is she’s a bit of a hyacinth bucket type who looks down on us 😂
Bad memory she will put down the poison I’m sure of it, she’s said she throws water at her already and she gave her own dog away as it was annoying!Poor squirrel has been hanging around where her feeder used to be 😢
Moving into brighter things, DIL has has handed in her dissertation and also today had an interview that went really well at the local vets (a huge one within walking distance) she finds out in a week if she got it, so I took her to the cafe for lunch to celebrate 😬 Then tonight we went with ds2 to see Pearl at the cinema which I absolutely loved and would recommend if you don’t mind a bit of blood 😆
Scared to look at the finances so will do it tomorrow!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -
She sounds like a "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" character
Ooo fingers crossed for your DIL
Mind you our neighbours had a tree surgeon cut a few high branches off one of our trees that overhang their garden last year. They were sick of the bird poop.
We knew they didn't like the biggest tree and tbh we didn't either. We took down that one and the nice dappled shade the other one gave also provided the birds with overhang.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20222 -
The brass neck of some people is always surprising ain't it. She has a law breaking, pain in the neck son who she herself has had to report to the police yet she is complaining about a wild animal that would be in her pots whether or not you feed her. Its clearly beyond her to think about putting a bit netting over it until the plants come up like the rest of us do.
If she is a bit Hyacinth, she is possibly trying to control the rest of the world since its clear she cant control her own son. Its a shame that in her mind poisoning the local wildlife and pets (cos there's no way she can make sure what will eat the poison) is acceptable, yet telling her own no good son to behave properly is not. She calls the police to deal with the bad behaviour while she 'supports' him.
Fingers xd for dil

Thanks guys, I guess we all have our annoyances I just think with neighbours try and keep it friendly if at all possible - and then moan about them when you get indoors 😂
